This is the first time I've ever actually been offended by the food at a restaurant.
I ordered the "chilli loco moco". The burger patty they used was the absolute cheapest, thinnest, frozen patty I've ever seen. Hand to god, not even over exaggerating , I've never tasted anything cheaper. Think dollar store frozen section. The texture was that of rubber and sand. Imagine taking a Salisbury steak out of a TV dinner , washing off the sauce, then nuking it in your oven for 25 mins. That is EXACTLY what the taste and texture is like. A perfectly round frozen 90/10 frisbee that I could have thrown at the window and it would have shattered it and landed across the street.
The home style potato's are frozen, the fries are frozen, the chilli tastes like it came out of a can. The chicken fingers are frozen and not just frozen but the lowest quality frozen chicken fingers you can get. You know those ones, that are perfectly shaped, that everyone has in the back of their freezer and only eats when they're desperate. the ones that are chicken nuggets on the inside. The ones with freezer burn on it. The ones you bought on sale 3 years ago and never touched. Those are the ones they use.
Also, the kids meal chicken fingers and fries does not come with a dipping sauce, asked for ranch and was charged $1.25 for a cup of freaking ranch. $9 for 2 fingers and NO ranch included.
When I saw that charge on the check I asked the waiter what gives, and he l said the owners were "cracking down" on ranch, like he were a DEA agent or something. Who serves chicken tenders without a freaking sauce?? The service was weird and awkward. The same way the hostess looked at me like I asked her for drugs when I asked for the WiFi for my kids iPad. Apparently they don't give it out. Everyone was acting like they get whipped in the back room for giving anyone any kind of hospitality.
And this is when I realized, the owners here are the absolute cheapest people on earth. I imagine them sitting on a pile of coins watching people on camera trying to stomach the food, all while laughing and calling them peasants. "Ha ha ha look at this peasant wanting a dipping sauce for his 25 cent chicken finger." "Ha ha ha"... 100% they're not Hawaiian either because if any real Hawaiian paid $16 for that lame excuse for a loco moco, they'd start a revolution. I cannot think of a more failed example of cultural appropriation.
The only decent thing here are the pancakes, which for some odd reason it seems they put a lot of effort into. One of the weirdest...
Read moreThis local breakfast spot is one of my favorites. I’ve visited 3 locations in the Vegas valley, this location being closest to my house. I like this breakfast spot because the food quality and recipes are consistent. I know I can order the same item and it will be the same at every location.
This particular visit, was the same with one exception. I returned my Huntington omelette because it had a hair on the melted cheese. I also requested fresh pico de Gallo, as this portion tasted like it was prepared a few days in advance. My server, Janet, was quick to take it, apologetically, she assured a new plate would be made. In response to the pico, “that’s the way it is today.”🤷🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
As I waited, I worked on my Pumpkin Pancakes, a seasonal favorite.😋
My omelette returned to me quickly with fresh potatoes, minus the hair.
While my server was courteous and attentive, and the second omelette tasted as I expected, except the old pico de Gallo.
I was surprised to see no compensation had been offered on the bill.
I asked to speak with the manager, who just happened to be my server.
“If we remake it for you, we don’t offer a compensation.”
Hmmmm. 🤔
I was surprised at the lack of care and appreciation for as a guest bringing business.
Old pico de Gallo 👎🏽 Hair in my food 👎🏽 Seemingly no appreciation
Bye Bye, Babystacks. 👋🏽 There are many other restaurants in Las Vegas that will appreciate my business and choose to keep loyal guests happy!
Please, if you make a mistake, which we all do, and a guest gives you the opportunity to make it right.
Make it right. How many guests give you that opportunity, rather than just never return?
After several requests for some form of action to show even a fraction of appreciation and consideration, reluctantly, Janet offered me a discount.
I responded in generosity with better than 20% tip, before the discount.
May my generosity toward you be met with generosity and care as you continue to serve guests in your...

UPDATE 2/17/18: I've gone here many times since they opened and has been good every time. I went yesterday, put my name on the list and was told 10 minutes for my party of two. As usual i went outside to join all the other customers waiting a the waiting area inside was crowded. 30 minutes later after i noticed people getting seated that arrived after me i went up to ask what the status was and was told he came out and called us already. I can confirm that did NOT happen and other customers who has asked why we were skipped confirmed as well yet this host decided to firmly state he did no matter what. After his attitude he sat us (made us wait another 5 minutes where he spent most of that time doing something in the kitchen speaking with employees). The waitress was great and promptly took our order and attended to refills while we waited for our food. 30 minutes go by again, at this point i was about to just get up and leave when the food finally arrived. I've never had such a horrible experience and when i brought this up to the young lady at the register, she just shrugged it off as i was charged for the meal. I don't know what is with their attitudes nowadays. I feel that the host said something to the kitchen staff to slow our order down due to the attitude i gave him when he lied about calling for us to sit. Again our waitress was great but that host and the kitchen killed it. I have no interest in going back. If they were extremely busy when we waited for our food that is one thing but the party of 3 who were sat next to us (after us) was paying for their meal and leaving when we were finally...
