These guys were a nice surprise! We stopped at Pahrump on our way to Death Valley and figured that we would get food here just in case we didn't get to the restaurants in Death Valley on time. This restaurant had decent reviews, so we went here. We got the plain fried rice with pepper and onion pork, the Singapore curry noodles and the pork egg rolls. They told us that the food would be ready in 10 mins but we had barely sat for 5 mins and our food was ready!! Don't expect too much from the ambiance. It is pretty much like a simple fast food restaurant.
The egg rolls were delicious. I definitely recommend getting these. I would just eat these for a meal if I could get more than 2. The pepper and onion pork was also delicious - the pork was properly cooked with a slight crunch. The pepper was like black pepper spice and some green peppers with onions. The rice was a little bland but also had some chicken pieces which made us question whether they gave us chicken fried rice for the price of plain fried rice! The Singapore curry noodles were good. The curry masala was delicious. I'd expected the noodles to be thicker rather than being of the vermicelli variety. They were a little hard to eat because the meat was at the bottom and I couldn't mix it all properly. The beef pieces were big and a little chewy. The shrimp and veggies were very nice.
We got two meals for 2 people out of this one portion. The prices were also very reasonable. I highly recommend checking this restaurant out if you want Asian...
Read moreI knew I was taking a risk getting pad Thai at a Chinese place. When I tell you it was terrible I mean it. I leave 0 reviews like this, but be warned it had absolutely 0 relation aside from the noodles to a traditional dish. Liquid flavoring with 0 spices was like a sweet and sour sauce almost. Chicken…. That was pre shredded? And wadded up throughout the noodles? That’s pretty wild never seen chicken prepared almost pre chewed. Cashew chicken was more bland than I would have hoped for. I understand that it’s inherently a mild dish, but that doesn’t excuse it being in a gallon of liquid that turned the chicken to rubber. The photo was taken after I drained an insane amount of liquid out. It was nearly to the brim
Staff was pretty cool. Aside from the dude passed out at a table directly next to where you pay. Once again, I don’t expect 5 star dining experience, but for this and a side of fried rice I spent $40. Would...
Read moreGood for Pahrump NV. No one would ever accuse Pahrump of being a “two horse” town. It’s tiny. It rural. It’s the wild white-trashy west.
The food at China A Go Go was passable, but let’s not get crazy - this place has a way to go before it ever gets 5 stars.
Here’s a thought to management...MOST people ordering delivery are from out of town. Would it kill you to provide plastic plates? To be fair I did get a plastic fork - but it was one of those TINY, cheapest of the cheap forks. I had to take a million bites because I could only fit three grains of rice and a piece of meat on the miniature sub-.01 cent fork.
The pork ribs were swimming in bottled BBQ and were not what I’ve come accustomed to from Chinese restaurants. The Combo friend rice was decent but mostly bland. The Pork and Onion and Pepper was gingery but decent.
I guess if it’s all you’ve...
