You need to map yourself to a wonderful wine bar located in Pahrump called - The Wine Down. You owe it to yourself to experience it at least once… in a while.
Once you step through the front door, you are met with such an overwhelming welcoming environment and vibe; that it just instantly relaxes your mind… life stresses and pressures somehow seem to disappear once the door closes behind you. If you are met by Jen or Jo-Elle, you are pretty much instantly adopted into the family. They have a way of making you feel genuinely welcome and, the room could be packed wall to wall, but you feel like the most important person there… that is such a gift.
The menu caters to all. The drinks are many and varied, like any well-stocked bar, but this is a wine bar, so definitely have at least one glass of wine. The food is simply and honestly good. Try the tri-tip or the meatball slider (my favorite). The spiced walnuts are a must and… heck, just get one of everything. Eat and drink and make a merry memory of yourself. You’ll see what I mean when I say - this place was well thought out by real people who actually care about you.
I can’t recommend this place enough. Honestly, you can get food and wine/beer/drinks numerous other places; even the location is fairly not special - nay, it’s the ambience. It’s Jen and Joelle. It’s the oasis, the sanctuary, the genuine respite from all that troubles the life that they have created.
At least, that was my experience a couple of weeks ago on my birthday when I spent the afternoon there just feeling like an honored guest, and not just a ‘customer’. I will simply say it is the feeling of feeling like I matter. I have lived in Vegas for 28 years and have worked in some ‘major houses’. Been to some very nice restaurants (and some not so nice)… but, this place - The Wine Down - is the best Customer Service of any business I have ever visited in the last 28 years in Vegas.
I have never felt so immediately welcome and comfortable in any other place I have ever patronized.
You must try it… how else...
Read moreI absolutely adore this adorable boutique wine bar in my charming little town of Pahrump! Not only do they offer a delightful selection of wines, but their cocktails are absolutely fantastic. My personal favorite is their dirty gin martini—it's simply divine! The staff at this place are truly amazing and make you feel right at home. Joelle, the owner and master mixologist, crafts some extraordinary drinks, and they even serve beer too! During my visit today, I had the pleasure of trying their special hot apple cider infused with spicy rum, topped with whipped cream and gold flakes for an elegant touch. It was simply exquisite. Additionally, their lemon rose water martini was both refreshing and visually stunning. Joelle's expertise shines through in every sip, as do the talents of her fellow mixologists. I've heard that on Sundays, they whip up some delectable Bloody Marys adorned with candied bacon and other mouthwatering treats. To complement our drinks, we indulged in a scrumptious and beautifully presented charcuterie plate, as well as a delightful Mezze plate. And to satisfy our sweet tooth, we savored a heavenly Nutella cheesecake paired with a delicious cup of coffee. I will definitely make it a point to return to this outstanding local business whenever I'm in town to show my support.

Read moreExcellent service, yummy food (appetizers and finger food menu - short and simple selection with decent prices). The owner was very friendly and welcoming. Amazingly cool and breathtaking "nature's beautiful landscap, exotic Scenic destinations around the world are played on the large TV screen in the background, classy and modern decor/furniture, and most importantly, good wine. I used to work at Pahrump Valley Winery before it closed back in 2020-2021 as a bartender, so I am pretty familiar with wine. Lol.
Surprisingly, there are several wineries out here, which I think is fantastic and great for us "wine lovers. Wine Down was done very tastefully, and I hope it stays around for a long time to come.
The owner did a great job with this cute place that's located in a prime spot, and I wish her and her husband nothing but success. I can't wait till I try something new on the menu and a flute of the newest wines...
