The restaurant is lovely cozy quaint old time Las Vegas, the bartender was okay.. he was speedy, the host was a nice older gentleman, but came by our table 2x , being Pushy, wanted a tip for sitting us at a table in front of the singer. My husband, then gave him a tip. As far as the food, my experience was not what I was anticipating.... My husband ordered the chicken parm it came with pasta they don't ask you what kind of pasta you want it's just a given that you're getting the Ziti. I felt like having all the time school stuff artichokes which was an appetizer and clalso an appetizer. When the artichoke Was served I was really surprised it was fairly large but unfortunately it was total stuffed with bread crumbs that's what made it so big. Then the clams came out I could not find a clam unfortunately the bowl was filled with clam shells but no clams, I was super unsatisfied. I asked a waiter to take it away and to take it off the bill because I was not happy I could not find any claims to say the least. My husband was upset because at the time he was almost finished his dinner so I did try his ziti. I dare not tell him that I did not like that as well because the ziti was so undercooked but unfortunately my husband is not a food connoisseur of any sort. He is just happy that he served a Hot meal and will not complain. On the other hand at this point I had not eaten anything just drinking my red wine which was good. I did ask for an appetizer which was the meatballs I figure could not go wrong with that. So here they come I take one bite unfortunately they were extremely salty. Sorry but I have been cooking pasta and meatball since I'm 12 years old my father was Italian from South Philadelphia and this meatballs were over salted. I did mention it to my husband when he saw me that I wasn't enjoying my meal and unfortunately he was not happy with the situation at this point. I did feel really bad when the waiter came to ask if I did like the meatballs and I had to tell him the truth that they were oversulted and I was not going to eat them I did ask him nicely please take them away and take it off the bill and he was not happy about that. When he returned with our final bill to be paid he said that he spoke to his boss/owner and the owner himself said that he will not take the meatballs off the bill which I find very disheartening when you own a business and, The customer of what I'm told especially being in the customer business myself that the customer is always right. We did pay the bill and we did leave the waiter a reasonable tip in cash by the way and paid cash by the way but unfortunately I will not recommend this place because of the attitude and the food being from Philadelphia and New Jersey East Coast which I know to very good Italian food. The place is very pretty the atmosphere is very cozy and the music is very nice though the guy only played 2 songs before he walked away from the stage well I'm sure he's okay. This is only my experience my review take It for what it's worth I was raised Italian I've been cooking Italian food since I'm 12 years old I love Italian food and I know good solid Italian food. If you just want the experience then try...
Read moreOmg. Wow. Wow. Wow. How have I lived here for awhile and didn’t hear about this place is beyond me! What an amazing place!! Been in Vegas since the 60s so you know it’s seen some people! Outside is cool and then you step inside (greeted at the doorway and someone is there to open it for you!) and it’s a whole other world. I felt like I was transported back in time! Pics on the wall of performers and some others;) also old Vegas! This place has multiple rooms. The night we went was on Valentine’s Day and in the bar room they had someone playing the piano and Frank Sinatra songs. In the dining room with the stage they had someone singing amazing jazz, her name was Genevieve and she was fabulous! Also there was a man That got up to sing opera and I just loved that because that is so different! We started in the bar area and then got our table in the dining area. I noticed someone walking around and greeting people. Later we realized and were introduced to him as the owner named Ben he was so nice and amazing! I just loved that he was walking around and greeting everybody!! Everyone was super nice! All of the staff! Tracy was our bartender and very knowledgeable on the wine I was very impressed! John was our waiter, he was also super amazing and very helpful! He was also wonderful to talk to! And Sergio was our official photographer so shout out to him he got us some great photos! The food was also very delicious and amazing! You cannot go wrong on anything here! We had the meatballs (amazing, even my friend Lyssa who is Italian and said she could not try the meatballs or her mother would be mad, actually tried it and said they tasted like her moms!), caprese salad, veal parmigiana, chicken parmigiana, Sea bass, chicken Alfredo, and cappellini with spinach and tomato! We wanted to try the crème brûlée but unfortunately they ran out, but they were very attentive and we got a round of drinks instead which was super nice and amazing! We also tried the limoncello, and I loved it! They hosts many concerts here and I encourage everyone to go at least once! I warn you though you go once and you will want to go back again! Speaking of, I cannot wait to go back again! Thank you so much Italian American club you...
Read moreThe evening at the Italian American Club Restaurant dinning experience turned into a lovely fond memory for my daughter and myself . My initial contact was by phone and near closing time. It was a joyful surprise to have a warm invitation extended by Janene to go in and dine even at short notice. As entering we were enthused to see all the signed infamous photographs of those who had once been there to eat . The sharp groomed gentleman Carlos confirmed our reservation with the correct pronunciation of our last name and led us to our table . With poise and grace he pulled our chairs out to be seated and presented us with our menus . The ambience although lavish but not at all overbearing . Our dinner was brought out by a soft but assertive spoken waiter Rene. He reinforced the choice of my dinner ( Lasagna Bolognese ) to be of one superb , as he nodded his head with a slight kiss to his finger tips . As we waited moments for the meal to begin we had the pleasurable sounds of the live entertainment and band whom directed their attention to all who were in the audience as if they were playing especially for you . Accompanied with our drinks a warm crisp bread brought out lay on a gold trim cream plate with butter and 2 other Italian spreads . Our main course was served pipping hot and was noticeably made with fresh deliciously seasoned ingredients . So authentic it was as if we were in Italy . We continued the night amongst ourselves enjoying the lovely ambience glistening as the light reflected from the chandeliers singing with the music and wonderful food until our bellies were full . As we began to exit and part from the newly found gem we were thanked by Carlos for going in and hoped we found it to be as pleasurable as it was to have served us. Such old fashion and classy service topped with wonderful food and great entertainment this establishment is what turned our night into fond memory never to forget. The best Italian restaurant in Las Vegas...
