Wow everyone working here is so incredibly kind. I frequent the metaphysical shop Enchanted Forest Reiki and wanted a quick bite to eat that was walking distance. I found this place nearby walking distance with 10 reviews and 5 stars. Photos looked good so I thought why not try it! Lol I was greeted with the biggest smiles and so many hellos. My waitress Grace was SO sweet. I ordered regular miso ramen and they gifted me with a chef’s special.. talk about great customer service. They really made my day. They even gave me hugs before I left. Food was inexpensive. It costs nothing to be kind. I’ll be sure to come back. Thank you for being a part of my day ❤️ and serving me really yummy food with the biggest smiles. Honestly I was mostly astounded by the amazing energy they had. I would go back based on the customer service alone. They constantly checked on me to make sure I was happy. God bless their business they told me they just opened 3 days ago. I left a nice tip and they gave me a free green tea too like wow there is so much love at this place! You won’t regret coming here. If you’re in the area, please try it out! They deserve the business, they truly do. I eat out often and customer service is hit or miss. Not here. Love love...
Read moreThe food was soooo gooood. Pricing is very affordable. Staff is super friendly and the location is nice.
This is a fantastic Asian restaurant that has some great surprises for a Ramen and Katsu place. I really wanted a fried street food touch today and wandered in here, and it was perfect. I ordered the seafood pancake which was delicious even though there was less batter than I'm used to in a haemul pajeon. It still has a great fried taste but without extra carbs.
The char siu bowl was also good. The rice had that street food fried rice feeling that I wanted today. I would always prefer my pork a bit fattier, but I understand most Americans don't. It was still solid though. Adding a pork rib to it was a great idea!
I added some japchae to the bowl because I was in a bit of a fried noodle mood. They were slightly sweet in addition to that great fried glass noodleness.
Then I realized their menu had takoyaki... So I got that too. If you like takoyaki or don't mind being adventurous about octopus - GET THE TAKOYAKI. It was top tier and only $6.
I accidentally turned lunch into a mini food challenge. This really was an excellent find! The owners were super nice as well. I had to thank the cook for such...
Read moreI came to MATSU after seeing it was recently opened, and as a Marylander, I was craving ramen AND crab - the selling point here is that all the food options are very reasonably priced.
I got the takoyaki and spicy crab ramen, and was not disappointed. Fluffy takoyaki, not served at tongue-burning temperature, and the crab ramen was very well priced for using lump crab meat - flavorful broth, and after you eat about half, it it a great addition to add some ramen spice to it.
I love Korean pickled vegetables, and the fact that this is a K-Ramen owned spot, they give you a little dish of pickled vegetables as well, which is a great treat to “reset” your palate and taste everything all over again like new.
The server is incredibly nice, and I paid $20 for a “specialty” ramen and an appetizer. Not bad at all.
Overall - you aren’t here to expect the greatest ramen of your life. It is a very delicious, very affordable, easy to eat spot, and I’m certainly...
