Read moreI’m new to Vegas so I’m always looking for restaurants that will have comparable quality food to the ones I left behind in SantaRosa/Bay Area. I found this Nicaraguan/El Salvadorean restaurant while I’m waiting for oil change. When I walked in the door, of the restaurant there was nobody at the reception counter so I grabbed a menu and seated myself. When the waitress came, I ordered pupusa and pasteles con papas with chicken. I waited half hour for my food. Pupusas are usually topped with a spicy cabbage mixture salad and something that is similar to pureed salsa. They gave me something in a ketchup dispenser that looks like a watered down tomato sauce and the dispenser wouldn’t dispense. I asked for the “red sauce” and the waitress brought me a green sauce. She said they’re out of the red sauce. What the hell is that?!? It’s like eating at a Mexican restaurant but there’s no salsa?!? The food had good flavor but the reason I’m giving them 2stars is because I am not happy with the service, waiting a long time, not getting the red sauce, and having to write a review instead of...

In the middle of a strip mall, this place sits quietly. My wife and I were greeted and told we could sit anywhere. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
On the wall behind me was a saying. It’s in Spanish but translated: “We do not serve fast food, we serve fresh food as fast as we can.” The food, as advertised, wasn’t fast, but it was quite worth the wait. I had a pupusa with asada, something I have never seen anywhere else. I also had the Churrasco Salvadoreño, which is steak with a cabbage slaw, casamiento (beans & rice), chorizo, and fried plantains. The pupusas were freshly made and hot. The steak was well seasoned and went well with the rest of the flavors on my plate, especially the cheese.
My wife had a pupusa revuelta, a pupusa with cheese, black beans, and loroco, and a baleada. My wife loved everything!
The only downside to the whole night was that, once our food was brought to the table, they didn’t check up on us for refills. All in all, the staff was great! We will definitely...
