J.J's Pizza — Restaurant in Nevada

Found this place a month ago, by smell. Was driving by, and the dough baking got me, and am super happy it did. It tastes just like my favorite pizza place back home. The owner here is awesome too, makes damn good food, and genuinely loves what he does - because you can taste it.

Actual lamb for Gyros, the dough is great, fresh clean veggies, cheap pizzas that are actually better tasting than Little Caesers. I haven't made it past the chicken wings and the pizza on the menu yet bc they are so damn good. But will. Calzone next, Gyro after.. and so on.

It's rare to find a place that gives a damn.

Let's get the fact that it isn't in the best location out of the way - no, it's not. But we need a place like this on the East side, and he does right with the prices for low income families. He is an asset over here and despite the "scary side" of town the food is awesome. Just lock your doors. Be smart. That's required everywhere in Vegas, not just the East side. Lol

Good job JJ's. 👏 *No, I didn't get perks for this review. Also, as a small family business - he doesn't do any freebies (not even for bdays). Don't bust his balls - just pay the man his prices, they are already more than fair for the awesome food. Everytime I go I hear someone griping about the dollar difference from 5 to 6 - that's called inflation, and he didn't McDonalds you ($14.34 Big Mac meal). C'mon he has a family to feed and small business to keep open. This is where our money should be going, NOT Taco Bell. Go bust Applebee's balls about their corporate prices before complaining about a small business in this economy. Seriously.

We have ordered from Joeys on several occasions. They have a special we ALWAYS get & we add an additional pizza. The special is an XL pizza w/ 2 toppings 20 wings & 8 fingers for $29.99...we have ALWAYS asked for all wings & no fingers, they have always given us 40 wings total & no fingers. We have ordered this special at least 3 times in the last 2 months. We call today to get the same thing, they say they can't do that. When I explained I've done it before, the girl says she'll ask the manager, she yells to someone else & then a guy gets on the phone & tells me there is a new owner & they no longer make substitutions. I ask that there is a new owner in the last 2 weeks? He asks "you got that special in the last 2 weeks?" I said yes. He tells me I was lucky. He says the owner has put something in the computer that doesn't allow them to override & it would charge a higher rate. If that's true, then how did I get the deal less then 2 weeks prior? The pizza is decent & honestly the wings are under seasoned & we usually add seasoning when we get them. We continued to order because they were convenient & the chicken was always cooked right, not under cooked or over cooked, but they do charge too much. Our last order was over $50 for 2 pizzas, 40 wings & a 2 liter of pepsi which the driver had to go back & get because he forgot it. The customer service today was terrible & very unprofessional. The guy that got on the phone was argumentative. We won't be ordering from here again due to poor customer service alone. AND by the way, there is NOTHING on the menu that says NO...

I have been going here for over 15 years and never had a bad experience. Even with the portions getting smaller and the prices getting higher, I still stayed loyal. Until yesterday, my order was made wrong and I didn't realize until I got home. I called to let them know and the lady on the phone told me I didn't have to bring the food back since I was already home. The lady said that she will give me a discount for the next time I order and she will call me back later that today with the exact details. I never received a phone call so I called back the next day. I spoke to the owner and he was beyond rude. He told me that the policy is come in the same day so they could fix. I informed him that his employee told me that I didn't need to. He said he knows what she told me but there's nothing that he can do now. I called and the girl gave me wrong information. The cook made my order wrong and yet the owner started yelling at me. I will never go back to this place because of the poor service...
