Ordered 18 tamales, strawberry, chicken, pork, cheese. The Pork tamales tasted terrible, like they were spoiled. The other tamales were ok. I brought back the pork tamales, told them they tasted spoiled, the nice lady at the register called the manager, "Rosa". Came back saying they couldn't process refunds, I could only get more tamales. I told her that's fine, I don't want a refund, but I'll take something different, as the tamales were bad. She called Rosa again, this time Rosa talked to me on speaker phone, saying, "it's not my fault you don't like the tamales, we can't give you your money back our system is blocked for refunds, get more tamales, that's all we can do. I told her I wasn't looking for a refund, just exchange for anything else (only a total of $14 btw), she said no only tamales. At that point I told her give me my money back then or I'm reporting you. "Rosa" told the lady at the register, "give him his money back, but save the camera footage, don't ever sell him tamales again. I support small businesses, which is why initially, I didn't even ask for a refund, but this woman, "Rosa", is really bringing the business down. She needs to face real consequences for treating a patron this way. It's not my first time here, the workers are always very friendly, I've come here many times with my entire family. I don't know if I'll ever come back now. I didn't even keep the refund, I left it as a tip for the lady at the register, as she was visibly nervous about the whole situation. Read moreI've been to this place so many times. I've tried ice cream, elotes, elotes with cheetos, esquites, etc and I've never had a problem. My family ordered a couple things and I ordered an elote with hot cheetos. Took a bite out of it and had my husband take a bite. Both of us were disgusted, it was so hard, as if it was going bad. I went up to one of the ladies and let her know my concern and left the elote on the side counter. I sat back down with my family, she came back with a small sample of the other batch of elotes they have back there and wanted me to try it because I was wrong and all the other elotes back there are just fine. Like what? I've never had this experience before and quite honestly shocked. Why would I lie about something like that? Especially when I've had these before and they all tasted good. She was literally trying to argue that I was wrong and wanted me to try the sample. I never argued nor did I ever ask for anything in return when I told her about my concern. Accept that your product was gross and leave it at that! Absolutely terrible customer service. My family and I grabbed everything that we had ordered as we were all dining in and left. As we were gathering our stuff, she proceeded to let me know that i can go grab the elote i left on their counter and throw it away. What?
