I found this restaurant when it was recommended to me by Yelp. My husband and I do have a regular spot we go to for Ramen but we wanted to check this one out.

First impression was that it was difficult to locate at first. It’s at the very end of the outlets. This place is incredibly small. A lot of ramen places are small but this one has to be the smallest I’ve been to. Tables appeared to be a foot apart and we were seated in a small dark corner. I wouldn’t recommend for groups of more than 4 people.

We got the Karaage (Japanese style deep fried chicken) and the Shogun Curry as an appetizer and it was very delicious. The chicken was tender and comes with lemon which makes it even more flavorful. My husband and I got the Shogun Ramen. It was mediocre. The Classic Shoyu Ramen may have been better.

We’ve been in Vegas for years now and have tried lots of ramen places and it’s hard to say this is the best one. The flavor just wasn’t there for us. Especially for my husband who’s been to Japan and have tried their ramen there.

All in all, I’m glad we got to try it out. Their staff was nice and their dishes were presented well. I wish we had tried a different flavor but we will probably stick to our...

Mood - a nice surprise

You know when you have your taste buds wrapped around the idea of a certain restaurant only to find it is closed or no longer in business. Then despair takes over until you come up with plan b for the menu? Well let's just say this, I thought one thing, and I'm very grateful I decided to take a chance on this restaurant.

Upon entering was quickly greeted and ushered over to a table. Menus were given and drink order was taken.

Opted for gyoza, Beef fried rice, black garlic Ramen ( of course), Tonkatsu Ramen, Kimchi,Spicy Miso, Garlic Edamame, and Salmon Nigiri. This was a feast that was def a surprise. Every portion we ordered was on point.

Interior is very quaint. There are a few table and chair arrangements. While we were there everything was very clean. Music was playing in the background.

Would most def recommend- pricing for the portions and quality was reasonable. The customer service was fabulous. We have already plotted our adventure back.

Location is Blue Diamond/Decatur...

Finally, my wife and I have found a Ramen shop in Las Vegas, that is actually very good. Having lived in Japan twice and my wife originally being from Japan, we are extremely picky about Japanese cuisine, after having experienced the best.

Shogun Ramen is the first ramen shop we have truly enjoyed after living in Las Vegas for over 20 years. We were very patient as they have only been open three weeks and are still working out some of the wrinkles, including finalizing their menu.

The miso ramen was delicious. The noodles were prepared perfectly, but the broth was truly the star and convinced us, this is now the place we will continue to go anytime we want ramen--and we live in Henderson (Anthem), but it is well worth the drive.

We also had gyoza and it was by far, the best we have had in Las Vegas. So, we are definitely sold! If you are very picky about ramen and truly understand Japanese cuisine, then you will appreciate having access to the best ramen shop in Las...

Stop by here to try out the Ramen. Service was ok. I was dining alone so I sat at the counter area / bar seating. It was a bit strange because the counter was about 1 1/2 feet in height that blocked the view of the kitchen. I think that's a poor design because who doesn't want to look at them cooking your food? I enjoy that. Food; Tonkotsu Ramen Spicy Karage The Ramen was absolutely delcious and flavorful. I love silky fatty broth and the noodles were aldente. The cha siu was so soft and tender. Definitely a delicious bowl. I opt for no bean sprouts. I personally wouldn't order the spicy karage again. It was my fault. I didn't realize that it was a wet spicy buffalo style sauce. I should've ordered the plain karage. TIP: The restaurant might be hard to find. It's on the left side of the building facing Blue Diamond. Overall, I would recommend this new spot. I will try the signature bowl next time that has the black oil.
