Nothing Bundt Cakes is a great little bakery that knows its niche and does it well. These are some of the tastiest cakes around, and I am always happy with my experience here. Yes, bundt cakes seem old fashioned, but this place has made them hip and fun again.
I am a huge fan of the bundtlets, single-serving size cakes that cost $5.50 each. The price just went up within the last month by 50 cents, but it's still a decent price for a gourmet cake that's roughly the size of an extra-large cupcake. Pro tip: always, ALWAYS ask for a printed receipt because there's almost always an offer available if you take an online survey. Lately, it's been for buy one / get one free bundtlets, which is a great deal! I usually take the survey and go back again and again for BOGO mini cakes!
The flavors stay the same, but there's always one or two seasonal flavors that rotate monthly. No matter how many different ones I try, I always seem to go back to the Strawberry (which is my all-time favorite). I'm not a big fan of the red velvet because it includes chips that I think make it too sweet. The vanilla is classic but bland. The carrot is a winner if you like pineapple, because it includes chunks of the fruit. No matter your flavor palate, you'll find something to love here.
Larger cakes sometimes require a special order, especially if you want something specific. The cakes are packaged beautifully and are designed to make the recipient smile. I've never met anyone who didn't love a cake from here.
The shop has all sorts of adorable little gift items, from mugs and cards to birthday candles and more. It's not inexpensive, but you can totally throw together a full last minute celebration with one stop.
Service is always fast and friendly, and this location hires the best people. I actually enjoying interacting with their kind and competent employees. The people are another thing that Nothing Bundt Cakes does better than just about everywhere else.
Other things to note: this location has limited parking on busy days (especially during lunch hour since there are lots of restaurants next door), so bring...
Read moreI thought after the last problem staff would be properly trained- I stand corrected. I came in to purchase a cinnamon swirl cake easy right? Wrong. Rana asked for my phone number I declined and she continued to say how they don't use it other than for customer service I again declined to which she said it's for customer service third time declining. Finally she gets the hint. Why did I have to decline 3 times? Can't she take no for an answer? Finally we get to paying, I give her my card she asks for my ID I very polietly explain it's against merchant laws to ask for ID if the back is signed and if it is a chip card, the bank already verifies your identity if you have a chip card. She explained it's policy which is cool but your policy does not go above federal law. I said I'll willingly show my ID after the purchase so you can compare signatures otherwise it's illegal. She declined my purchase, cool no problem she has the right to do so. Savannah came out who said she is the MoD and said Jenna would be in later and they all are "aware of who I am" okay what's that supposed to mean? And if they all know who I am why are they making a purchase harder than it needs to be? I've used my debit card there before with no issues.. I went back to my car and now as I'm sitting here typing this someone who works at Nothing Bundt Cakes (not sure of her name) came out (REALLY long dark hair perhaps black hair) and short came out to my car. She is sitting out of my window trying to get my attention, since I will no longer be coming to this location I don't need to know what she has to say. Now she is knocking on my window! Who is she to touch my vehicle?! I will be driving out of my way to a different bakery if I choose to still do business with...
Read moreI wanted to get my mother-in-law something special for her 90th birthday. I purchased the three Bundt tier and I was very disappointed in the presentation upon arriving at home. I noticed how messy the cakes looked. I called the store to let them know that the presentation was very messy and I was too embarrassed to present this to my mother-in-law. The person I spoke to asked me to email her with my concerns including photos and she would get back to me. This is her response.
Val,
I apologize you're not satisfied with the appearance of your bundtlet tower, unfortunately that is how some of our cakes bake. During the baking process they do rise over the pan, which causes them to not fully fit into the bundtlet container. We appreciate the feedback and I can share this information with the Baking Team.
Warmest Regards,
Ashley Robertson
In my opinion, she should have at least offered an exchange. After receiving this response, I called the store and she did not answer. I was too embarrassed to present this to my mother-in-law. I will include the pictures so that you can see how messy the presentation was. I did not want my money back, but I would have liked an exchange for an item that looked better. Would she have presented this to her own family. I will never order from this location again because of the way they handled this situation. Please check your order before leaving the store to make sure it looks nice and...
