Mood - Tamales
After a long day of hunting for gifts - Tamales were on the mind. With the holiday season being upon us it was in our best interest to call around to find out who was open.
Upon entering was greeted with great customer service. I guess other people had the same idea on their mind re: tamales as the gentleman behind the counter let us know everything was out except for the Pollo Verde. So with that being said it was chosen and decided.
These tamales were wonderful. Everything was cooked to perfection. Now I will admit he did warn us and say it was spicy. My son, loves spice and decided to accept the challenge. You can tell the food was cooked with great ingredients. And yes spicy it was.
Interior is not designed for sit in. You walk up to the counter, place your order, and get your food to go. We were given a plate and utensils to be able to eat in the car for the ride home. Staff were wearing masks to ensure good ol Covid safety.
Would most def recommend - pricing was fair for the quality of the food. Customer service was on point and very hospitable. I cant wait to go back at an earlier time or place and order to try their...
Read moreTHE MAN THERE WAS EXTREMELY DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE! I had gone to buy some tamales from this place last year and The older gentleman that greeted me I thought was very unprofessional and rude so I hadn’t been back. BUT today I went back to give them a second chance and hopefully that man wasn’t there, well he was there and once again he greeted me very rudely me like if I was interrupting something. Well I made a comment about how Their price had gone up from the last time i had been in here. Now is $30 with taxes for a dozen tamales. Which I understand because of the time we are living right now. I was still going to purchase two dozen tamales but that guy ask me very rudely “are you complaining about our prices” to which I responded with “No, its a simple observation. I am still going to buy tamales from you” he right away responded with “You can go somewhere else, I am not selling you ANYTHING”. I left and was so shocked on how that guy treated me with such disrespect and so unprofessional. I will NEVER go there again and I will NEVER recommend this...
Read moreHave been going since they opened up went 2 days ago and bought a 12 tamales. Asked for pork and chicken. I can't tell the difference number one anymore they taste the same. When I first started going there they were huge. Now it seems they're like everybody's tamale super thin very little meat very little flavor. Not spicy at all. They need to go back to the way they used to make them. For the price they want I'm better off buying them on the street. Like I said not the same as they were before. Dona Maria is bigger and better. The only difference is there a little greasy. I'd rather deal with that than no meat in a tamale. If I were you guys I would go back to the way you used to make them. Oh and one more thing they are a little hard and dry now. Not to mention we could tell you...
