Mariscos Las Islitas — Restaurant in Winchester

All we ordered was 2 molcajetes, one mixed and one seafood, the mixed was overcooked to a dried food point, the seafood was extremely salty, we are not coming back since I brought up the issue and was not offered either replacement nor ??? And they were not unexpensive, and they are not even loaded with food, 3 little strips of cheak steak, 3 little strips of chicken, maybe 3 little shrimp, a couple of strips cactus, 1 burnt small piece of chorizo, and maybe a cup of frijoles de la olla, and if I remember correctly also 3 little grilled onions, 2 small pieces of some cheese, some tortillas, and a small plate with white rice and refried beans, well similar with the seafood one, place was clean and personal was nice and attentive, just is not food fulfilling to what I think it should be for the price, maybe some other dishes but as far as molcajetes, its making us not...

First time visit. Stopped in for a quick bite thinking it was just another restaurant. That it is not. Surprised at all the choices on the menu. You like seafood? You like Mexican style seafood? Then this is your place. Menu was reminiscent of my trips to cabo.

My wife had bacon wrapped shrimp that was over the top. So much food she took half of it home. Their rice is fantastic also. I had shrimp a la diabla. Had to of been 15 shrimp on the plate. They season their food! Like, when you eat what they serve you, you get a mouthful of flavor and it feels amazing. I recommend the tacos de la sierra and the shrimp cocktail with octopus. They give you some weak tostadas and salsa when you sit, but if I'm being honest I'd rather they not do that because it's so bland and tasteless. I can imagine someone coming in, seeing the tostada and salsa, being put off by it and then leaving it before they get a chance to try their amazing food. That almost happened to us!
