Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Nevada

I rarely go to Sonic anymore since the last few times I've went at different locations they have been a letdown. As a teenager in high school we used to go to Sonic in Cheraw , South Carolina in the 80's and hangout , eat frito pies , tater tots , and chili dogs. We would park our old muscle cars and everyone cruised around and had a good time. The food was fast food yes , but it was much better quality than it is today.

I go to Sonic now once or twice a year just for the memories. I came here the other night and got a footlong chili dog , tater tots , and a cherry slushie. I have to say the last time I was here the chili dog was much better. This time I ate most of it , but didn't finish it. Something tasted off and I want to say it was the cheese. The tater tots were okay , and the cherry slushie was actually pretty good. When I went to leave I got a M&M Blast to take home. It was okay also , but I've had better.

I ate at one of the outside tables instead of in my car to enjoy the weather. Most of the tables were clean , but one had a drink on it when I sat down and after 2 different employees came out a couple times to bring other cars their food and one lady who was also eating outside , the drink was still on the table when I left. It would have taken either one a second to throw it in the trash. Also when I got my order they didn't give me any ketchup for the tater tots and I had to go to the door and ask for some. I did the 2 for $7 Special and got a Chicken Sandwich with my order that I took home for the next day for lunch. The lettuce was old , I mean really old looking and wilted. I threw away the lettuce and ate maybe half of the chicken sandwich and threw it away.

I got a hamburger and food poisoning a few years ago from the Sonic across from the Palm's Hotel and Casino and haven't been back to that one since. I was in the hospital so sick I went through 2 IVs from everything coming out both ends , sorry to be so graphic. Anyway , I go to the one in Pahrump maybe once every 2 years when I visit a friend that lives there and again always the chili dogs. I've never had a bad meal...

Eh... if you like sonic you'll be fine I'm sure. Today was another weak visit at this location. Friendly staff and the drink I ordered was done right... but they forgot about me. Waited 25 minutes in the stall as the vehicle that arrived after me left before my single drink order was filled.

Preface: it's day 1 of 100% open in Vegas, place was packed I knew I was gonna have to wait and I didn't mind, but the push button "Hi what can we get for you" it's so impersonal and having to walk up and wave at a window that says "EMPLOYEES ONLY" To ask for my drink that's sitting on the counter- I can't say it any other way, Sonic has an impersonal feel in the car hop stall. It never fails to let down.

Had a long hot day and thought this would be a nice treat to end the day and it just wasn't. Maybe I would have felt differently about it if I didn't have to pay for my forgotten item not that I wanted anything free but it's par for course on needing that little extra to feel from the trained employees like they care but this place always strikes me like the manager makes the employees feel like they better not make a mistake or else. Whatever, as usual it'll be another 6 months before I forget and come back. I'll be down the street at Carl's Jr I guess.

If I could give zero stars I would, but I can’t. I ordered a pretty big meal for my family back in August. Spent over $70. It was a treat as we hardly ever eat out. Upon picking up our order ( we ordered via app) and getting home we noticed that almost every single burger we ordered was made wrong. Paid for bacon for some, got none. Asked for no onion and pickles on some, got them anyways. The “Smash” burgers were still unacceptably pink on the inside. Fries were limp and cold, onions rings were burnt, and the tator tots were falling apart. I tried calling to speak to the manager but no one ever answered the phones. Tried looking up a number on google only to be met with a “text us” number. Which I have texted and spoke with MANY different CSR since that day. The first one said that it was “unacceptable” and was going to get me a refund. However, it needed to be approved first. That was 2 months ago. I finally got tired of trying to get our money back, and just gave up. But if you order from this location just be weary. You may have great service or you may not. You may get great food, or you may get food poisoning. So dine with caution!! I never got my refund and we threw almost all the food away that night, wasting my time,...
