Viva El Taco Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Nevada

I only put two stars because I've been here two times before and the service was good.

This time however I came in a Sunday at 7:00 p.m. instead of greeting me properly, the lady cashier nods her head up as if to say, "what do you want?" I asked if I can get menudo, she proceeds to say firmly, "No! No menudo today!"

I asked, "really? I thought menudo was Friday to Sunday?"

She then says, "Yes! Too late, all gone!"

Then she immediately turns around and looks at the cook and asks him a question. I waited a little bit thinking that she asked him about the menudo just to make sure.

She turns around back to me and says, "what do you want?!"

I just left. Crazy because you would think a restaurant that's '24 hours', would at least have menudo til maybe 9:00 p.m. let alone 7:00 p.m.

Also, someone please control their auntie and tell...

Today 10/15/2025 8:00PM I ordered a veggie burrito the price was $12.50? The burritos with the meat was pretty much the same price. I go home cut the veggie burrito in half and there is only lettuce and rice in the burrito! NO BEANS, ONIONS, TOMATO, AVOCADO, CILANTRO NOTHING!!!!!!. And on top of that the RICE Was NOT SEASONED AT ALL! IF I WOULD HAVE TAKEN A BITE OF MY BURRITO WITH MY EYES CLOSED, I WOULD HAVE THOUGHT ITS ONLY TORTILLA AND LETTUCE IN HERE. THATS HOW BLAND THE RICE WAS. I WISH I WOULD HAVE PAID WITH CARD SO I CAN DISPUTE THIS AND I HAVE NEVERRRRRRRRR DISPUTED A FOOD ORDER. TO ANYBODY THAT WANTS A VEGGIE BURRITO THIS IS NOT THE SPOT. MAKE IT AT HOME AND USE THE $12.50 TO BUY THE INGREDIENTS. NOT WORTH THE VISIT I WOULD NOT...

Absolutely terrible service, one of their bottles broke while I was opening it and it cut my finger, it happened right infront of the cashier and she did not react or seem to care. I rushed to the bathroom as it was bleeding a fair amount while my friend asked for a bandaid only to be denied and lied to, by law they have a medicine chest in the back being a food establishment. A kind customer behind us had to pull one from his vehicles first aid kit. They are expensive and their portions are lacking. I would not recommend this dingy dank hole in the wall, Viva El taco EXPRESS at Charleston and Sloan is by a different company and is always cleaner and much nicer than this mockup with the same namesake.
