Atmosphere is very nice. Aesthetics are nice and plenty of room to sit and enjoy yourself. Presentation of food was good. The salsa and chips was good. I got the Juanita’s special which is rice with chicken and shrimp smothered in cheese sauce and it was great. I also ordered two tacos to see what they are like and unfortunately they were tasteless without the salsa they provide. My sister got the mojarra (fried fish) and it tasted fresh but was tasteless. When waitress asked how food was we were honest. She was speechless that I didn’t like the tacos but happy I liked my main course. Here’s where the issues with service was: 1) When we were ordering - I always ask the servers what they recommend or what’s their favorite. She did recommend the steaks but I didn’t want steak. When I asked about a dish she looked me up and down and said that plate wouldn’t be enough for me 🫠. I never asked if it was enough I just asked if it was good. I’m pretty sure I know how much to feed myself but I let it go and didn’t make it into anything else. 2) when she asked for feedback and my sis told her the mojarra was tasteless she said ā€œ that’s because we only marinate it in Valentina . Just add salt if it doesn’t have tasteā€ā€¦.. first that’s not how you fix it šŸ™ƒ. Second we didn’t have salt or pepper shakers to season it after it was cooked. Idk if she was just not used to honest feedback or what but she kind of dropped the ball at gaining returning customers. It wouldn’t hurt her to smile so her demeanor isn’t confused with her being dead inside. Idk šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø. We pass by the restaurant all the time and finally had the time to stop. Unfortunately I don’t see myself stopping again. Charging $3.50/per taco and you visibly saw it was still on the plate not eaten and charging for it is weird but we paid everything and left.

This restaurant is amazing! They serve delicious food, and have plenty of options. There’s plenty of beautiful art pieces inside and there’s plenty of sunlight. The music was a fun vibe. Our waitress was very sweet and on top of it. The spinach dip was amazing and so was our main course. Not too pricey, but not cheap. Service was good and quick. Definitely recommend this place if you’re in the mood for Mexican food!

This place is a hidden gem. If you have not been here before, or if you have not been here for a while, I highly recommend that you try it. The service is great. Keep in mind that it is authentic, so there is a little language barrier. The food is so good. The prices are great, especially considering the amount of food that you get. It is in my top 5 authentic Mexican restaurants in Southern Indiana.

Third time is NOT a charm.

The first time I went there, the food was excellent, hot and tasty, the service was outstanding, atmosphere was comfortable, and i thought great, a really good restaurant very close to home.

The second time, I stopped in to get a take out, thinking it would be really good and hot like the first time because I got there before the dinner rush and there was only one other table being used in the restaurant, when I got home the food was cold, I actually had to heat it up in the microwave, (just to note, I only live about four blocks down the street, not that far for food to get that cold) but I didn't think much of it, sometimes things like that happen.

The third time which was tonight, the service was horrible, and it was not a busy night by any means, once again, beat the dinner rush, the chips were stale, the salsa was hot and the food was luke warm at best, the cheese on top of my food wasn't even melted and it was very bland, the waitress, I saw her three times, to take my order, to deliver my food and then to give me the bill. Yes I could have sent my food back, but after the 2nd visit and now this, I just wanted out of there.

The staff seemed more interested on being on their cell phones texting or watching video's or talking than there were about the customers.

I won't be giving them a...

The building is an old dairy queen, when you walk in, you see the front counter, you're greeted by a waiter/waitress, you can choose the spot where you sit. The menu is has a pretty good selection, not that much, but it's good. The portion sizes are like 14-17 inches long and 6 wide. the item I got was the "burrito loco" it was indeed 14 Inches long. The burrito was covered in white queso (cheese) and oh my god. It was Soo good, I would ABSOLUTELY recommend this place for someone who wants a decent meal and a fairly cheap one too, 10/10 Definitely Would eat...
