Uncommon Cups and Cones — Restaurant in New Albany

I had been told that this was the cutest and most fun ice cream shop but I had my doubts. I took my daughter and 2 granddaughters here for a treat and what a magical experience! First off it was a cold blustery day so surprise we were the only ones there. The lady (owner?) was so friendly and nice and very happy to let us taste any or all of the many unusual flavors they have. The ice cream is very good and doesn’t seem as expensive as some places. My daughter got her ice cream in a cup and IT WAS A RED ANTIQUE TEA CUP WITH A REAL SPOON!! All the chairs are mismatched and unusual. My 5 year old granddaughter picked the little school chair and was so excited. When you go.. make sure to look around at all the unusual touches.. old Golden Books have the menus inside. There's only one negative review for now, but I'm sure more will come. Only mentions small serving sizes and price, nothing about everything else that sets the business apart. It's an artisan shop, not a chain store. You're not getting a logo emblazoned cup with some soft serve and some crumbled up oreos by some kid in high school sponsored by a corporation that's making money no matter what happens. They've got tons of flavors and it's served with care for presentation, with brilliant service. It's a small place open daily and you're served with a real cup. The owner is involved, and it takes money. They've got to keep the ice cream maintained at a constant temperature, clean everything, repair equipment they don't get bulk discounts on. Hello! I just attempted come inside to order , there was not one single person on your establishment, I didn't want to leave my bike unattended outside, the lady at the counter started yelling at me saying I can't bring my bike there is no room. Since you were so rude without even asking , I was going to order , my husband was headed to meet me there so we could eat outside. I have lived here my whole life, support local, I've brought many family members there also. Never again.
