Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in New Albany

Me and my three friends decided that we were going to eat sonic together and talk cause we haven’t seen each other in a while. We all 3 parked right beside each other. Since, we all are paying for our own food, We decided to order our orders each on the Sonic app. we did not know that you can only place one order on each stall. So we ended up placing our three orders on the three stalls that our cars were parked at. We all were sitting in the car in the middle. Ad our food was getting ready to come out, Laura was our car hop and she brought the food right to us. we tried to let her know that we had food on the other two stalls, but she walked off too quickly immediately after she handed us the food. She didn’t ask us if we needed anything else, and we were even gonna tip her. After that incident, it went downhill from there. She Next came out with my friends order which was designated to arrive at the stall next to us. as she approached the stall, we rolled down the window and Politely let her know that we were in the same car. She stood there in front of our vehicle menacingly with a mean expression on her face. she once again gave us our food and rudely turned away to go back inside. Lastly, she came out with my third friends food and walked over to the car on the right in which We had placed our Third mobile order. The cars are not that far apart from each other maybe 2 feet. she came out to our car in the middle and started yelling at us calling us rude, and that she’s not gonna be running around chasing us. This isn’t the first Instance I’ve had with this woman she’s always got a rude expression on her face. she needs to be dealt with or I will call corporate and have...

The service is pretty friendly, and the food is good, but I was surprised today to see the server with tattoos on her neck throw a receipt onto the ground after delivering food. She just tossed it down and watched it blow into the parking lot, then went back inside. I would have given a higher rating if not for this.

The Sonic app evidently doesn't work for this location, either. We've tried to use it multiple times.

Update, 4/3/22 Today the "slush machine" is supposedly "down". We ordered on the app (it's working now), and so were not informed of this until 45 minutes after we ordered. Okay, fine. We were told we could have free drinks instead. The carhop told us to write down the drink order, then to press the button when we were done, at which time he would come out and get the paper with our order on it. As instructed, we wrote down the order for our car full of nine people, and pressed the button. No one ever answered. Our server didn't come. We waited for a long while until our driver finally got out and took the paper to the people himself.

All of this waiting around to see if maybe we'd be served came at the worst time possible, as we were in a hurry at that time, and chose this drive-in because we thought it would be a quick place to grab lunch. The people were polite as usual, but the service itself was lacking. I understand that it was busy, but there really need to be enough people on duty that these wait times...

Placed an online order to be ready at 7:31am. Sat in in the stall for 15 minutes while people pull up, go inside, and come out (apparently friends or family). They get their order way before I do and when I get my ultimate meat breakfast burrito, it’s about as big as a tomale! Won’t be back and they need to just shut it down over overhaul the management in that store!

Update to “Owner” after the response:

I’ve seen the other reviews and apparently those didn’t have any defining momentum to correct it nor make it right. I’m good. I just threw the $4.99 burrito away because I wasn’t even hungry anymore and to be honest; the food looked atrocious. I waited long enough for a breakfast burrito and Route 44 sweet tea. Not wasting my time on a phone call or a website. The employee blatantly lied to me and said she was by herself. There were 3 other people I saw in the establishment that catered to friends or family pulling up and walking out with food while one employee was sitting at the tables outside hee hawing with the guy that walking in and got free food and left. I was almost late for work. Again, I’m good. The store is hanging on a wing...
