I hadn't been to this restaurant in well over 10 years. I have to say that it was a very pleasant surprise when my friend, son, and I walked in.
The atmosphere is comfortable. There is a ton of table space and ample room so you don't feel like you're in a can of sardines. We sat at a booth/chair combo spot. The booth part was pretty gosh darn comfy and easy on hurting bodies.
Our server had the patience of a saint with my friend's and my inability to decide on what we wanted. She was also super nice and indulged my kiddo in his detailed specifies without making a fuss [[Most servers just smile and/or laugh when he orders]]. He knows what he likes and what he wants!
The food was delicious! I tend to eat the same sort of food at different restaurants, but I am so glad I didn't have a gyro or chicken tenders for once! Started off the meal with a salad and ranch. I won't lie... Ranch is my tell of how I start my judging process of a place. It was pretty good! I could find nothing to complain about! It just wasn't as thick as the ranch I have normally is all. I tried the Big Cabin Burger on a pretzel bun. It was a taste of heaven. They cooked it just the way I like it and I loved the sauce. There's lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and onion... Just in case you aren't a fan of some of these. I don't do onion, myself. Their french fries are out of this world and still taste great later, too!
I don't get to go out often at all, but I hope that chance will bring me to Country Inn again. And soon, I hope! I really want to try their lemon meringue...
Read moreLove the food here, been coming here for about 8 years, food has always been spot on and has only gotten better. The old manager, I can't remember his name, super tall skinny guy, always came to our table and chatted with us just enough to not intrude. He was great, we enjoyed the conversations with him. The new manager doesn't do this, as a matter a fact I don't think I've ever even seen the new manager, he's never around. The staff has gone down hill, the waitresses when the old manager was there were lovely and friendly, now they seem to hate their jobs and really could care less about what they are doing. I didn't even leave a tip the last time I was in because she was so rude to my daughter and I. I never seen such a bad turn over in employees as this had. I hope they get their stuff together and hire some staff that know how to treat loyal customers soon before they lose a...
Read moreSince I moved south I miss this place tremendously, and always make it a point to stop whenever I am in town. The broasted chicken is great, as is the fish and chips. I usually avoid restaurant meatloaf like the plague but I always enjoyed their's. This is the only place to consider for breakfast right in NB, and the only thing to consider for breakfast is the Rooster Omelet. I swear in 25 years of traveling for business across the country I have never had a better omelet anywhere. The service is typically fast, although weekend rushes and especially Sunday brunch times are liable to require a wait. But it will be worth it And even over the span of years, the management seems to keep having smiling, happy faces working all over the restaurant. If you have not checked out Country Inn here, or at any of the other locations, please do so. You'll be...
