There are so many parts I would like to love for this place, but the SERVICE was terrible. From not being greeted, to waiting, to having to actually ask for our order an hour later definitely suggests that the service is off the mark for what I had hoped would have been a great stop is disappointing at the least. Or maybe their best. I can’t tell. I watched as my husband waited to make his order without acknowledgement. I waited as I tried to do the same. Our drinks were well executed in a plastic cup (disappointment #1-I am an adult drinking high end liquor with high prices). We both waited while our bartender completed a conversation with other customers without acknowledgement of our presence (an easy courtesy to provide for service). Finally, a simple order for food was never followed through for delivery from the kitchen(really? You didn’t notice or ask?!) I feel that our patronage was taken for granted in a place where I was recommended to go for exceptional service and product. Additionally, there seems to be no precedent for how to handle such an experience because the staff IS inexperienced and unprofessional. Brilliant!! Small but intimate; lovely settings; friendly locals; friendly people; they have time for you; talk to you and care for you(I won't go in2 detail but you know what you did for me dude(thank you); there's so much to learn as well(they're happy to talk history with you-of the bar and town as well) so you have great convos; most importantly you may say is that they serve lovely drinks and Paul is like the greatest bartender! Gina who also works there(but not that night) is so lovely and beautiful - I recommend all (even from the UK where I'm from) to go have a drink or two over there and spend your night/Evening there too. I did! They made me feel welcome and changed my perspective on New Bedford/Massachusetts.

I've never left any comments on b4 - I would usually feel like that's lame(stealing an American terminology there lol) but today I break the mould/habit of a lifetime-gladly!

My boyfriend and I are huge fans of this place. It was bought by new owners and we were admittedly hesitant. However, we were blown away by our first night back. The drinks were strong, but unique and delicious- just how we remembered them to be. The food however, was insanely delicious! We shared the Shrimp Cocktail which was fresh, zesty, and flavorful. Completely upscaled to your typical cocktail sauce. He had the Tuna Burger which he loved and was just as fresh, flavorful, and memorable. I ordered the Edamame Dumplings as an entree, which was the perfect amount of food for me. Vegetarians, rejoice! The edamame was so meat-like and had substance and flavor without being mushy.
