This miniature museum with three excellent galleries is a great place to spend an hour looking at contemporary art by local artists and big names from around the country. During my visit, the two exhibitions on display were Pathfinders: Paving the Glass Revolution in the U.S. and Transformations. New Bedford Art Museum is open Tuesday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and students, and $0 for NEMA, NARM, Card to Culture, and Museums for All members, along with active duty personnel and their families. Read moreJust left this “museum” a few minutes ago, as I am writing this 6/4/2023. This place is NOT WORTH $8/Adult admission. It is not even worth 8 cents admission. It is a very very small building with one room with a few small closet like rooms off of the main area. It consists of a trash bag “whale fin” & construction tubes as an “exhibit”. They also have a few painted State Signs and a handful of Asian Prints. That is it. You are lucky to spend 10-15 minutes here. I also observed other patrons who left very disappointed and upset.
