To the Palace Pizza on Kings highway. The lack of understanding and consideration for your "valued" customer that you showed me last night proves to be a SERIOUS problem in the restaurant business and goes against any type of hospitality that's expected of a customers service. I called and placed an order at 9pm...which I've done multiple times including just last weekend. Never once have I had to supposedly call when I got to the parking lot to pick up my order never once was I told on the phone after placing my order to call once I got there. I was only told that it was going to take 20 minutes. I pulled into the parking lot at 9:20.... And see a bunch of employees right at the front windows standing around doing nothing looking right at me. Which yes in fact out of all the times I recently ordered and picked up from there it wasn't until last night that I see two signs on the window that say to call once arrived. I did not have a phone with me and proceeded to wait 15 minutes watching them do nothing but watch me waiting for my food as it starts to get cold. It wasn't until another customer pulled up and got there order within 5 minutes that I got to finally speak with somebody who came outside with the other person's order to ask about mine. And in the rudest manner his reply was "well did you call?" Now I realize that there was a sign on the window that said to call when you were outside but never once in my previous times during this Corona bullS have I had to call to get my order. And I realize their possible frustration with thinking I didn't see the sign. but I find it hard to believe for one second that they could not see that I was clearly outside waiting for my food as it got cold and in what business owners right mind would think that that's okay to treat there customers like that? Did you ever stop to think once that I actually didn't have a phone that I couldn't call you!?! you really couldn't have just come outside and give me my order like you did just last week without a phone call. It's sickening that people want to work for nothing and rather lose business than actually communicate with one another because I'll tell you what telling me on the phone when I placed my order originally that I had to call when I got there would have been helpful. Or when you watched me pull up just bringing me my food with a...
Read moreI used to love this place but whoever is running the show these days clearly does not care for your customers. The last 3 orders I placed in the past few months were all wrong. First one they forgot my cheesecake and drink. Whatever I called and they brought them. Nbd. It happens. Then my husband orders a large cheeseburger deluxe pizza that we asked could have lettuce thrown on top after cooking if there isn't any and when it arrives we received a plan hamburger pizza with tomatoes on it. That's it. When I called to get a new one the man on the phone proceeded to tell me it's wrong because "I must have said it wrong to him because her heard hamburger pizza". Oh ok, it's my fault? So we just blame the customers for our mistakes even when they're not being rude about your mess up? Ok cool. Then, Finally, same guy takes my order and it's simple. Sure they did it right but I wouldn't know because when I told them to deliver to the SIDE DOOR ENTRANCE TO THE BACK BUSINESS BEHIND COMPLETE CAR CARE (A BLOCK AWAY) they deliver it to the guys at the car shop instead whom said they didn't order it but paid and ate my food anyways instead of idno CALLING THE CUSTOMERS NUMBER. But what is the icing on the cake is when I call and find this out since it's NOw an hour since my food should have been here THIS SAME MAN gives me an attitude for asking where my food is and how it was delivered when I have the money in my hand instead of trying to remedy the situation, again placing blame on your customers and now your drivers instead of remedying the situation from the very beginning. I was really sad to hear when I called back to speak with someone in charge that this Same person IS your manager. I'll never order...
Read moreOrdered from Palace on Tarklin Hill for only the 2nd time in a few years and was reminded why I never went back after the 1st time. Got a calzone and chicken tenders which were both messed up to an extent. The tenders were tossed in sweet chili when we ordered plain with a side of sweet chili. No big deal, they were eaten, just annoying. Calzone tasted like it had ketchup in it. The menu did not specify it came with ketchup and the beef tasted like the grill needs a good cleaning. We ate that as well, but again, annoying. On top of the errors with the food, the place seemed to be in a state of chaos behind the counter. Some of the staff were arguing about what boxes goes to what orders. People waiting for their food seemed a bit irritated and I don’t blame them. Didn’t look like a smooth operation at all. I won’t be going back anytime soon and perhaps I never will as it seems I can only catch them on a bad day. On a positive note, there is SERIOUS opportunity for a good takeout place to open in the North New Bedford/Acushnet area. They all basically suck - Palace, G&S, Jeffrey’s HOP, Metro, Sassequin, Ray’s Pizza. Sad when chains like Dominos, KFC and Papa Gino’s all offer superior service to the places I just listed. Let that sink in for a minute. Damn Dominos...
