Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I normally visit this place once a week in my local town of New Braunfels. There used to be a whole different staff of younger people. I never had a problem my food was always good and on time yesterday I went in there were two men working there I walk up to the counter to place an order I stand there for 5 minutes he just looks at me and goes on doing what he's doing at the drive-thru handsome their food and I'm still just standing there are no high I'll be right with you know acknowledgment of me being there. Finally another man walks out from the back and asks if I've been helped I said no I'm just here to pick up an order and he looks over at the other guy and says we are making it now for you it will be right out. When the first gentleman finishes my bowl he brings it over to me sets it on the counter and walks away. This is the worst experience I've ever had at this place they had no customers and I will never be back maybe I should wait until you have the teenagers working for you again cuz they are more...

Had the Ceasar salad and green smoothie. Favor made it seem like it was a combo deal for about 10 bucks on the app. It enticed me to try out this Cafe and smoothie place instead of just ordering a smoothie from smoothie king. The salad was a solid 6/10 it was slightly above par. The chicken tasted and looked very processed like I've def had that chicken some place else on a salad. The greens in the salad make this a barely a 6. The Romain and spinach was fresh and crisp very good salad greens. Overall the salad was slightly above par. Slightly. The green smoothie was very tasty and had great healthy green taste. 9/10 smoothie. The price for all this after favor was 27 including tip. Definitely a meh first time experience I was really hoping the salad would kind of make me choose this place over smoothie king. So that I could get my smoothie on and snack on too. For 27 dollars ide say go there to make it worth it becuase it was ok. I'll give it another try in person...

I visit this location at least twice. week and I usually don't have any problems with the service. The employees don't seem to communicate well with one another, but today was just over the top BS. I waited 5 minute at the window to get my smoothie and when the girl comes to hand it to me and I try to give her my card, she says "oh you haven't paid?" and closes the window on me.

I waited another 5 minutes before another employee opened the window to take my payment. This was after I had to knock on the drive thru window. The employee tried to give his version of an apology, which I wasn't accepting.

Please learn how to acknowledge your customers! It's not hard, it's what you're literally paid to do. And Tropical Smoothie, please cross train your employees. There is no reason why the girl who was handing my my smoothie could not have also accepted my...
