The place appeared clean. Donuts looked great. I asked for one croissant kolache and one regular kolache and I got the last blueberry cake donut. the cashier asked me if I wanted them warmed up of course I said yes. I quickly paid for the food and while waiting for them I noticed a couple of honey bees inside the display case no big deal, I actually think that's a good sign. So I kept looking at the different things and I noticed something crawling arpund, it was a cockroach! and not the kind that eats decaying plants it's the kind attracted by food not good! He was crawling across some food and then the tray I quickly pointed it out to the cashier, she grabbed a tissue and tried to smash it and when she missed the roach she pulled out the whole tray and apologized. I stayed quiet for a moment expecting her to offer a refund but instead she just apologized a couple more times so I grabbed what I purchased and left. I was starving so I tasted the three items I purchased. The cake donut was good the to colacci's weren't the greatest but it also was almost noon so they probably been there for a while in all fairness. The reason I did not ask for a refund that's because I know this kind of stuff can happen sometimes and no business is 100% roach free but midday and roaches crawling in the display case those roaches typically scatter when there's light don't ask me how I know this. Lol. So there's a possibility of an infestation. I kept the food and didn't ask for a refund because I was in a hurry and I knew this was an opportunity to give a review based on the food quality and I wanted to give it a shot because of all the good reviews and I'm new to the area here and always looking for good food. Hopefully the owner will see this and look into some Pest Control. Would I return? No, for two reasons one I feel the cashier should have offered me a refund and secondly the koloches were not very good I know they've been there for a while but the sausage was not the best quality and the croissant and the Kolache bread was...
Read moreWhat a blessing! My kids and I were in the mood for donuts being that we really haven’t ventured out due to this virus and we decided to go here only to find out they were closed for the day ( they close at 1pm and it was 4pm)...but a lady still working unlocked the drive thru window and apologized that they were closed and I was ok with that. Then she said she had some donuts left. I was so happy then I realized my husband misplaced his credit card today and was borrowing mine for the day and so I had like $2 and she just told me to take them anyway ( a half dozen in a white box)! I about cried! It was such a sweet gesture! The donuts were excellent! So yummy! The service was more than I deserve! Thank you to that sweet young lady that...
