Borinquen Bakery — Restaurant in New Britain

The workers all have an “I don’t care attitude” and as customers they don’t like, walk out they talk nasty about them! They have about 5 workers behind the register and still manage to keep people waiting in line for a good 6 minutes with no one ahead of me in line! (I literally timed them because this isn’t my first time here, their sandwiches are good) they all just walk back and forth make eye contact with waiting customers and ignore them until they see customers start getting impatient. Then attend the customer with NASTY ATTITUDES! This place needs extra training in customer service! Although the products the sell are good the service here will definitely make you never want to call me back! Even if you call and place your order ahead of time to avoid wait the attitude they give makes a person mad enough to snap back and be rude! And their mission statement is “the provide great customer service” LIES! Horrible service, I’ll drive to Hartford and get my sandwiches from now on so worth the trip not to deal with nasty attitudes!

Great Pastries but no type of great atmosphere. Where’s the greeting when u walk in? Well of course starting with the owner who constantly have a face like she having a bad day, Not great for business. Young ladies at the counter are not friendly whatsoever. Customer service is out the door. Every time me and my family come to this place we always have to wait more then 5-10 min while they all gossip about non work related. Been coming here for many years and to be honest the staff they had on their small location up the street where phenomenal made me feel like I was in one of the bakery in my island. Never complain until now have more courteous on daily customers. Starting with the owner treat customers with respect set an example to your employees....

I don't have much to say good bakery fresh pastries and bread. When I come here, it's usually a wait. This week, I went to grab their guava coconut slice cake(which my husband likes) and also request for that cake to be made into a family size cake. And to my surprise, they don't make that specific one into a full cake they only sell it in slices($4.75), which dissapointed/pissed/upset me because I thought every cake was. When I ask the employee to ask her manager she went and asked(the manager never came out to talk to me) the employee just told me they do not sale even if requested it but in slices. Which makes me question if they purchase that cake somewhere else?, but those are my...
