If I could give zero, I would. The only and I mean the ONLY saving grace for this "restaurant" is that up until tonight, we've had good experiences and the gentleman that I personally spoke with on the phone was very apologetic. Unfortunately, that is not enough to redeem them, and I will never, EVER, order from this place again.
My husband and I buy food from this place relatively frequently using Grubhub and have it delivered. We live in a 3-story building with a well-lit door in which you have a clear, short walk to the street. Every single time, we do not even ask them to come inside the building to our door, which most delivery drivers would do, but rather tell them that we will meet them at the door at the end of the driveway. Never has this been an issue. Tonight, however, when the driver called to let us know it was here, my husband told him he would meet him at the door. The driver then told him he had to meet him at the car. This has never been the case, which my husband informed him of, and he still refused to get out of the car. My husband then told him, as politely as one expects, that if he would not get out of the car, we would refuse delivery and would call the "restaurant" and let them know to issue a refund.
The driver hung up and drove away. After my husband spoke to whomever answered the phone, who was apparently rude and unhelpful, the driver was coming back with our food. We saw him pull up and awaited a phone call that he was here. What we got instead were 3 loud, blaring honks at 11:30 PM. We may have been awake, but there are lots of neighbors and other people in our building who I'm sure were not, including an 87 year old woman who is recovering from a triple bypass who I'm more than sure does not appreciate having a honking car right outside her first-floor window.
Now, I typically have my husband deal with these matters because I am so non-confrontational it's comical sometimes. Today, however, I was not having it. You do not show up at my home at nearly midnight and honk your horn. I went down there and exchanged words with the driver, most of which were not family-friendly on either part, and he placed my food on the ground. I picked it up, told him he can take it back because I'm not taking it, and put it on the roof of his car before walking away. He took the food, placed it in the middle of the road, and peeled out.
I called this place back and asked to speak to a manager, who was apparently gone for the night. So I kindly and politely (the person who answered the phone had no hand in this, after all) let the person who answered know that I would be reporting them to Grubhub, adding a negative review anywhere I possibly could, and in addition, I would be reporting them to the health department for the massive violation that is placing my food directly on the ground and expecting me to eat it. The gentleman asked for my address, which I provided, and proceeded to profusely and sincerely apologize to me for this incident. He said that we are good customers (as we order from there frequently) and he is very sorry this happened to us. He said he would speak with the manager as soon as possible and try to issue a refund. However, we contacted Grubhub, who contacted the store, and the "restaurant" is only agreeing to issue a refund of $20 out of the $30 we spent on food that was left in the street. And the $20 is only after having her call the place again because they initially only authorized a $5 refund.
Safe to say I will never give this place my...
Read moreBeen ordering here for years just because it’s convenient and I get out of work late so this place is all that’s open . I ordered one night unfortunately I fell asleep and I woke up 5 min after the delivery man tried to contact me . I called back and apologized and said I would be willing to stop by and pay for the food in person so they aren’t at loss or if he could come back and bring it I would’ve given a double tip for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, I got treated with no patience and understanding like how I treat them when they’re Bussy and mess up my orders and I have to wait extra time and I still am understanding and kind . They decided not to bring the food or to let el go in person . 2 days later I went to order a delivery service and the man on the phone was so rude he asked me to put a card down because of last times inconvenience but unfortunately as I started to give him the card information I got rudely hung up on . I called back got a major attitude I was able to put my order in but he had zero customer serviette I todo for skills and was extremely rude and passive aggressive the entire time . I’ve been ordering from this place since I was a kid . It’s actually very convenient for late night snacks just sucks that they have terrible customer service ! I think this will be my last time ordering from...
Read moreI just ordered Nick’s for the first time, and mind you, I am a pizza chef myself for a restaurant that does NY style pizza so I do occasionally like to order greek style pizza and I dont live next to my usual spots anymore, so I tested this place out and ordered 4 small pies, the Nick’s special, plain cheese, broccoli Bianca, and the taco pizza. I really have to say, just judging on pizza alone, I really dont know how this place has a 2.9 start rating at this moment! Their pizza is GOOD!! I really enjoyed every pie down to the crust. (Edible crust deserves praise by itself.) They deserve a higher rating in my opinion and I needed to contribute after tonight. If I could give criticism, taco pizza has no taco seasoning on it so it doesnt have a true taco taste, but is still good and mine could have been cooked 1 more minute being incredibly nit-picky, but i rather light than burnt pie since throwing it in the oven for a minute isn’t hard at all and burnt cant be undone. From one pizza maker to another. Good job,...
