Polleria Don Carlos — Restaurant in New Brunswick

I typically don’t write reviews but my experience with this restaurant one I felt I should share. I placed an order online but never received an email confirmation so I called to confirm. The man that answered the phone spoke Spanish but quickly converted to English once he heard me speak. I explained that I was called to confirm my order and he says “We don’t do online” and hangs up the phone. I call back and he again answer the phone saying “Good evening Don Carlos, How can I hep you?”, speaking in Spanish. He again converts to English once I speak. I explained that I was trying to place an order and wanted to do so over the phone. He says “ We’re closing now” and hangs up the phone. Leaving my apartment across the street 30 minutes later to pick up an order I placed elsewhere, I see a Spanish man walk in to buy food and remain for as long as it’s taken me to write this review. As someone who dated and lived with a Peruvian family for 5 yrs I can say the food I ordered was a complete let down. First there was no seasoning on anything not even salt on my fried yuca. The hot sauce (which is literally signature and the whole reason I went) was completely wrong not even the right color and not spicy. The spicy cheese sauce ( calling it that cuz idk how to spell the real name) was also tasteless and not spicy, it tasted only like the crackers you put in the recipe. I was born in Peru and I'm acostumed to great Peruvian food. I must say my family and I were highly dissapointed with their food. The food was either bland like the "pollo a la brasa" or overly seasoned like the "arroz con Mariscos" - it was bad. Even their "Chicha morada" was overly seasoned that it was making me cough. It tasted like it was made with a powder package and then added a load of cinnamon. We will NOT recommend this restaurant at all, and we would not be going back.
