McDonald's — Restaurant in New Buffalo Township

If I can give zero stars I definitely would! The only reason they are receiving one star is so I can leave this review! We (fiancé, son and myself) were passing thru and stopped to use the bathroom and get some lunch. First the restrooms are overly disgusting and did not use it because there were flies all over the place. I stepped into the bathroom so I needed to wash my hands. One sink didn’t work and the garbage cans were overflowed! As I returned to the lobby they were leaving out so I followed. When we returned to the car my son asked if I got his drink. They didn’t have it on the counter so he assumed I didn’t buy him one but I certainly did! I looked over the receipt to make sure the cashier (as she stated her name was Heidi) charged me, she did. Me thinking I can just go in and inform that we didn’t get our second drink with no issues. Boy was I WRONG! She accused us of stealing! She stated we did have both drinks and we didn’t. I asked if she wanted to look over the cameras and she continued to argue that we had the drinks when in fact we Didn’t! I can purchase another one with no problem.! Like how much is a drink from McDonald’s! Why the heck would I want to lie or steal a drink! None the less they weren’t trying to give me the drink I paid for but I again asked them to look over the cameras or they are more then welcomed to come to my car to check it out! They refused! One person came around and just asked what the drink was supposed to be! That’s okay! The fries were cold for as long as we waited they definitely should have been burning my mouth off but nope. My wife and I came to New Buffalo yesterday from Wisconsin to check out the dispensaries. We decided to stop at this McDonald's on our way home thinking the food would be hot and fresh considering the busy drive thru line. Boy were we wrong. After waiting in the line for 15 minutes without moving we decided we'd go in and order. Upon entering we see 15+ people waiting for food. We ordered at the kiosk and paid and proceeded to wait, thats when we noticed why the drive thru line wasn't moving and several people waiting inside. The staff was severely understaffed and half of what WAS staffed were on break with the rest in the back moving in slow motion and absolutely no sense of urgency. After 30 minutes waiting inside and my order # disappearing on the now serving screen with no food or any sign of my food being close to done we decided to get a refund and head home still starving. As many other recent reviews on this location, every one of them are 100% factual reviews. Trash cans over flowing in the lot, dining room, bathrooms and kitchen. Uncaring, lazy super young staff. Long waits for the simplest of orders. Avoid this location as if it were life and death.

Went on a road trip and decided we were hungry and also had to use the bathroom. We got into the restaurant and it was infested with flies. We look past it because we’re hungry, we order our food and about 15 minutes later we still don’t have our food and people who came in way after us were getting theirs. There was this lady who came in way before us and was still waiting for hers. She only ordered a large fry and smoothie. We finally get our food and go to sit down and EVERY table is filthy. Trash all over the floor and seats. This young gentleman was nice enough to clean a table for us after asking (we shouldn’t have had to ask though) my aunt then goes up to the counter and tells them an elderly couple was still waiting and one of the workers brought there food to them. She then goes back up to the counter where two of her other coworkers were standing and she started to complain to them about us. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and DISAPPOINTED. I work at a different McDonalds location as a shift manager and im so embarrassed at some of these store for being filthy and unprofessional.
