This is truly the best place I’ve ever gone for fly fishing advice. Orvis and Trouts have nothing on the owner, Joe. Joe’s knowledge and expertise makes you feel at home, no matter what your experience level is. I am mediocre (at best) at fly fishing. It’s usually daunting asking for help because sometimes people can come off as judgy or rude. Joe makes you feel like you are a long time friend from the moment you walk in. He gave us recommendations for where to go and told us what to fly.
Don’t get me started on the coffee—absolutely wonderful. Kyla did a great job preparing it. Kyla also makes a plethora of other all natural products. I got some all natural sunscreen, I am really excited to try it. Every cup is brewed with love. You can tell.
They gave us recommendations on where to go in town for food and where to watch the Avs game. Go here now! You...
Read moreI am a novice fly fisherman, and a senior citizen, so I was hoping to find the right guide to teach me the things I need to know to become more competent. I did a full day walk with River Joe along the Roaring Fork, Frying Pan and Reudi Reservoir. Joe helped me with my casting, my retrieve, mending and tying knots. We spent the entire day going over the basics over and over again as I practiced under Joe's watchful eye. Not only is Joe knowledgable, he is also very patient and fun to be around. Learning this sport can be intimidating if you have the wrong teacher. I have a long way to go to become the fisherman I want to be, but my day with River Joe has accelerated my learning curve dramatically. And, Joe made no effort to sell me anything. You should visit Colorado Drifters and see what they have to offer. This is a great...

I had a 12 oz latte and the espresso they use is really good. No bitterness, just a strong, smooth, slightly nutty flavor.
I also had an almond pear Danish (which is more like an almond cake) which was really amazing. They said a local baker provides their pastries.
I met the owner and he was very welcoming and worked as hard as any of the employees to make sure customers got their orders as quickly as possible.
Very cool local art and hand made gifts around the cafe to look at while you wait for your order. I...
