BILLS CAROUSEL ICE CREAM &YOGURT — Restaurant in New Haven

What has happened to this place?? I would visit at least once every summer, always pleasant. NOW, there must be new owners or management because the treatment was horrible. Ordered 2 small soft serve cones. Mine was barely filled over the brim of the cone, disappointing enough. My boyfriend ordered the apple pie but definitely received chocolate. I tasted to confirm, definitely chocolate. He returned to the counter after we both had 1 taste to ask for the correct flavor. All 3 women, specifically the blond got hostile immediately. He would have accepted another flavor if they were out of apple pie, but they insisted this creamy brown chocolate was a cinnamon apple, even pulling out a syrup labeled applie pie that definitely wasn't on his cone. I have received bad customer service before, but this was excessively rude and unprofessional. I miss the old Bill's, will not be returning and will be telling...

Used to go here all the time since I was a kid when the original owners were present or stela’s made sure the ppl running the place was up to standard…today will unfortunately be my and my families last day here due to inappropriate and uncalled for disrespect from the employees here, the staff of three women laughed at me as they made me repeat my order four times as if I didn’t know what I was ordering, then proceeded to give me an attitude just for asking for a cup with my ice cream since I had to drive far and didn’t want to hold a melting ice cream cone, this shouldn’t be how you treat employees anywhere especially locals in the area, word spreads fast and I’m sure there’s already enough locals here that have complained about...

Very extensive ice cream menu, but no real descriptions of anything, like what is included on a sundae or even allergens. When I went to order, I was told that their soft serve was down, which cuts about half the options on the menu, and the hard serve flavor I wanted was out. It would have been nice to have signs on the menu boards indicating those things so we didn't spend time deciding on something that wasn't actually available. The staff was patient while we asked questions and came up with our second choices, though. More expensive than I'm used to paying for ice cream, but maybe they pay their staff well.
