Just wanted to add our review of our latest excellent experience.
From the moment you walk in the door, the stupendous aromas of fine Italian food permeates your soul and the phenomenal charm of Val the manager provides you with a spectacular beginning to a wonderful dining experience.
Of course as always, we started with the magnificent Pasta & Fagioli Soup in a delectable, delicious broth. Today's chef made the impressive Coppino Amalfitana with clams, mussels, shrimp, & calamari sauteed in a white garlic sauce over linguine. It was absolutely incredible with all fresh ingredients. The Linguini Con Vongole Clam sauce was perfectly sauteed in an impressive, white garlic sauce chock-full of tender clams. We also had a side order of spinach and garlic.
Our waiter Eddie was extraordinarily attentive and professional. I believe that incredible service actually makes awesome food taste even more unbelievably astounding.
The limoncello liqueur is a perfect ending to any meal. We stocked up on a bottle of the Fabrizia PISTACHIO ALL NATURAL Creme liqueur and a bottle of the Limoncello to go. What a perfect treat for both friends and family.
Thank you Val and Brazi's for all of your efforts and for making our experience totally awesome perfection! We are so thankful for Brazi's!
The time before… I wish I could give todays meal a perfect 10. In every way, from the moment we walked in the door to Brazi's we felt like we were family. Val the general manager, met and exceeded even our high standards of phenomenal customer care from beginning to end. It is extra ordinary how he energetically runs a busy, happy restaurant with such skill, professionalism and passion. He sets the tone for all of his customers to enjoy an extremely positive dining experience!
We started with the Pasta & Fagioli Soup in a delectable blend of beans and pasta in a rich broth which was as stupendous as ever. Today's chef made the Linguini Con Vongole Clam sauce perfectly. At the end of the meal, we were made aware of a new liqueur. In addition to the limoncello liqueur which is an absolute perfect ending to any meal, we tried the Fabrizia PISTACHIO ALL NATURAL Creme liqueur. It was so delicious that we decided on a bottle to go. What a perfect hostess gift or holiday treat for both friends and family. Thank you Brazi's for all of your hard work and for making today's meal...
Read moreIt takes a lot of things for me to review a place So I’m not some keyboard warrior but how this place has such good reviews is beyond me. It’s a fancier Olive Garden, but I feel like Olive Garden might even taste better. This might be a long review so bear with me. Let’s start off by the fact that you can’t make reservations unless there is a party of 6 or more. I get it, the place is big enough to accommodate a lot of people but that’s pretty silly for a new haven restaurant. We walked in, sat right away right in the middle of the restaurant, this is where is all went down hill. I’m a server myself so I try to give the benefit of the doubt that the server was just very busy, but I couldn’t even tell you his name because he never told us. We didn’t have a drink menu on the table so I had to snatch one from a different table. We ordered drinks and my boyfriend order a soda. Came in the small glass which is fine just means he might need a refill or two. We then ordered apps, before ordering our entrees. The Brazi calamari was ok. It’s honestly kind of silly to pe sauce on calamari instead of it being on the side, defeats the whole purpose of fried calamari because it gets soggy before it gets to the table, the sauce tasted good just made it soggy. The eggplant rollitani was luke warm and was pretty awful. Had to ask for bread only after he delivered it to every other table but ours in his section. Finally came around to see if we wanted more drinks, gave my boyfriend the wrong soda, couldn’t even get a chance to tell him it was wrong. I got the veal saltibocca, we got a family style pasta, a pizza, a chicken dish and a seafood dish. I didn’t think veal could be tough but that day I found out it could be. Prosciutto was pretty thick honestly which isn’t how prosciutto should be. The pizza we got sounded so good, pretty bland. You’d think for a pizza that has some crazy toppings it would have some flavor but again proven wrong. My dads shrimp was tough, my mothers dish wasn’t very memorable. The family style pasta looked like something a 12 year old who’s learning to cook for the first time threw together. In the two times I actually spoke to my server I don’t even think he gave us a chance to respond on anything...probably the worst birthday dinner...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (10/10)
While traveling down I-95 from Boston to New York City, my travel companions and I found ourselves caught in a snowstorm, and amidst the chaos, we stumbled upon a true hidden gem: Brazi’s Italian Restaurant in Connecticut.
From the moment we walked through the door, we were greeted by the friendly and welcoming staff, setting the perfect tone for what would become an unforgettable dining experience. The decor of the restaurant struck a beautiful balance between rustic charm and modern elegance, making it a cozy retreat from the storm outside.
Now, let’s talk about the food. We started our meal with the giant Cioppino Amalfitana, a seafood stew that could easily serve 2-3 people. The dish was beautifully presented, and the fra diavolo sauce was a standout—cooked to perfection, with just the right amount of spice to enhance the fresh flavors without overwhelming them. It was rich and flavorful, leaving us craving more with every bite.
Following the Cioppino, we indulged in the Margherita pizza, which was nothing short of heavenly. The crust was perfectly baked, and the fresh ingredients created a taste sensation that we would gladly return for time and time again.
We thought we couldn’t possibly eat another bite, but the allure of the apple tart with homemade ice cream was too tempting to resist. It was light, fresh, and the ice cream was exquisite—creamy and delightful, with that homemade quality that’s hard to find. Each forkful felt like a comforting embrace.
With all this culinary delight, it’s worth noting that the prices were refreshingly affordable, making this exceptional dining experience accessible to all.
A special shout-out to our server, Madeleine, who was attentive and friendly, enhancing our experience with her warm demeanor.
In a world where finding authentic, high-quality dining experiences can be a challenge , Brazi’s Italian Restaurant stands out as a beacon of hope. They have certainly gained lifelong customers in us. If I could give them ten stars, I would! If you ever find yourself in Connecticut, especially during a snowstorm, make sure to stop by Brazi's. You won't...
