The KoC did a nice job putting this museum together with many informative photos, memorabilia, relics etc of Blessed Fr McGivney (including a little prayer chapel with a relic to venerate) and another nice gallery of items related to Popes since Leo XIII up through Francis. At the end are some exhibits on the history of the KoC after Fr McGivney, which are likely more of interest to KoC members, which I am not, but I did learn a couple things about the organization. Admission is free, and staff are very nice. Two minor nits: 1) Some of the information on the McGivney Gallery displays is printed in white type on a green background and is almost impossible to see/read, especially since the gallery is not brightly lit. 2) The gift shop at the end offers mostly generic Catholic items and has almost no items specifically relating to Fr McGivney. They had a pouch, rosary, keychain, and souvenir coin with his picture on them, a couple of holy cards, and one book about him. No religious medals of him, also no apparel like t-shirts. This is really different from the gift shops at pilgrimage places for other beatified priests like Bl. Solanus Casey and Bl. Miguel Pro, which offered many more items relating to the Blessed, including apparel, coffee mugs, children's items, multiple books, and most especially small religious medals. I wear my Blessed Solanus Casey hoodie all the time and it's a great way to spread the word about him to others. I'd do the same for Blessed Michael McGivney if there was a hoodie or shirt with...

I am particularly touched by his personal story of compassion and selflessness. Despite facing many challenges, including his own health issues, he remained steadfast in his faith and dedicated to uplifting those in need. His beatification is a fitting recognition of his virtuous life and the positive change he brought to the world.

Read moreYou simply cannot miss the Museum! We did not know it was located in New Haven or that the tall building across the street was the Knights corporate headquarters!
We were mesmerized by the Knights involvement in raising money in both WWI and WWII for our brave soldiers. The Knights of Columbus is a service and charitable organization of the Catholic Church.
The good works of the Knights made possible by the generous donations of parishioners worldwide do not receive enough attention or any attention.
The work of the Knights is truly an example the old adage "Do something good when no one is looking."
In this day of criticism of all religion and especially the Catholic Church, you have to look no further than the goodness of the people to regain faith in people in our country and in the world.
The museum is getting ready for a special exhibit for a European Christmas... if you are in New Haven over the holidays do not miss the museum. The gift shop is simply amazing and is stocked with amazing gifts of religious and other gifts from around the world at very reasonable prices. Oh and by the way you will love John and Jenna the two employees that are there to greet you and give you so much historical information....
