I been here a few times and first time having bad service. The food is always amazing, but the service is such hit or miss. The food is delicious. Appetizers of lamb lollipops, escargot, burrata salad, and sashimi tuna were all amazing. Lamb was juicy. There were way more escargot than other restaurants I've had it. The burrata salad is classic. And the sashimi tuna was surprisingly good. Entrees had a NY strip with roasted potatoes and broccoli. I like how the veggies are overcooked. The steak was cooked to perfection and a beautiful hefty size for the price. Great value. However... service was awful. Got seated and took 15 mins to get menu. I already knew what to order but the waitress didn't ask and walked off after giving menus. Never came once during meal. Came after meal was over and provided check. Took 15 mins to come back and get our card. It was all fine up until now. It was holidays so we were understanding. BUT after our credit card was taken, it took 30 mins for us to get it back. Another lady brought it back to us and said our waitress got caught up at the bar. We said we've been waiting and ready to leave for over half an hour already. Finally we're leaving..... then the original waitress stopped my bf and I, which then she made a comment sarcastically saying she's sorry but she had other tables she's in charge of and we're not the only people dining. Seriously 🙄 it was so unnecessary. Her stopping us to not even apologize but make a stupid comment was what made the service bad. **came over half a year later and the food is still amazing. Service was a bit better but not very attentive. We've come to know that service is always hit or miss but the food is always good.

We dined there tonight for my birthday. The evening started out great, the service started great. We ordered appetizers that were very good. We ordered the beef empanadas and mac n cheese. Next for main courses my husband ordered a pasta dish with some sort of seafood in it and said it was good. Our son ordered the beef medallions and said it was decent. My daughter and I ordered the ribeye for 2 people, MEDIUM WELL-which is almost well done with a slight hint of pink, right? Well what we received was a steak rare/medium rare-red and bloody, sitting in blood. YUCK! Now we know some people prefer their steaks that way and I am not knocking you. But we don't like our steaks that way, hence why I ordered medium well. So I nicely and quietly called our waiter over to express the cook on the steak wasn't as I ordered it. The waiter who had been very nice up to that point said it was "medium well to well done." Please see pictures attached. My husband and I again nicely stated that no medium well should have a little pink, but definitely not red and bloody. He then gets very aggravated and again he stated "this is medium well to well done." We all point out the obvious pool of blood all over the steak, around the steak and also merging into the mashed potatoes. He then said "okay I will bring out a hot skillet so you can finish cooking the steak." ??? Now I am a great cook, and our son is a chef. However, if I wanted to cook my own dinner on my birthday no less, I would've stayed home, and my family and I would have saved a lot of money. Nonetheless he brings the skillet. We attempt to finish cooking our dinner and the steak is still red in the center (no more blood) and tough. At this point we were over it. We would have respected if the waiter just told the truth that the kitchen messed up the steak. I can respect that, things happened. Just rectify the issue and let's move on. No instead, he got very defensive and started debating. Also, the resolution was for me to cook my own steak, and no compensation was offered, and the biggest kicker is adding gratuity. One of the bus boys witnessed everything and felt badly about it. He then offered to get the manager for us. The manager came over and he was apologetic and very gracious. He gave us a house dessert on the house which was the gelato cake. We also ordered and paid for creme brulees for myself and the kids, and my husband ordered the cinnamon cake. The desserts were all delicous! The creme brulee and the cinnamon cake were the best. The waiter was nice enough to sing Happy Birthday with some of the other crew. After, we paid the check, as well as the automatically added gratuity and left. A few things, I do feel the ribeye dinner should have been removed from our check . However, I did not ask that it be removed as I did not want to lend into the stereotype that we just didn't want to pay for our food. No we were well prepared to pay for our food, and we don't mind paying for good food. Also, in hindsight I think I should have adjusted the gratuity. Oh well. Long story short, we wanted to come back for the brunch one day, but I don't think we will ever go back.

I'm giving this restaurant 3 stars because the food was average for steaks at this price range, my porter house was a between room temp and warm, the servings were massive, but at a 155.00 for a 4lb steak I wished they were more creative than just potatoes and a wallop of steamed broccoli. The sauce selection for the steak was also lacking. However the presentation was ok, too much broccoli, it took away from their attempt to showcase the massive steak bone. Also the handle cover of the pan made the presentation seem cheap as well. Lastly, while the notion of an open view of the kitchen seem like a noble idea, is very distracting as us very bright and all you see is black yellow top totes from home Depot and other miscellaneous items, it really take away from the experience. This restaurant is not cheap by any means and is not really in the heart of things, so is not like after a nice dinner you're gonna go off for a walk in town. I wanted this to be a special occasion and after seeing the pictures and prices I asked the place if there was a dress code, they advices it was business smart, I fussed with my kids to make sure we were presentable, only to be at a table next to a group of folks with beanies, hoodies and sports jackets,...Finally, I do recommend you come and eat here, if you're on a date, as children where eating at adult prices. The food is overpriced, you will hear about 5 happy birthdays (six with mines lol). Our waiter Jared was awesome, really attentive and helpful, ah, there's also free parking...they should really advertise that.

Had two oysters as an appetizer, and they were good. Fresh and clean. My wife had the chicken parm, with a side of linguine. The chicken parm was excellent, and the linguine was good as well, and much larger than a "side" - but I had no complaints having it for dinner the next day! I had the ribeye, and this is where it all went wrong. Well, not wrong, but at the price paid it was just mid. And when I pay that much for a piece of meat, I expect better. The steak is supposed to be aged, but there were no funky notes that would indicate that. Regarding taste, the steak barely had any. It was poorly seasoned. There was little beefyness to it, and while the crust wasn't bad, the interior was bland. Again, I would expect a prime ribeye that's aged to be much more flavorful. Finally, the thing was pretty tough as well. Being prime, being aged, and being a ribeye are all things that would make me expect a pretty tender steak. But it was actually kinda chewy. Finally, the garlic butter. There was a lot of garlic, but not much butter. I think that would have provided a sort of sauce to bring flavor if there was more there. Also, to me, the garlic was very pale. It had no roasted notes that I'd expect from roasted garlic. No carmelization on the garlic to give it more depth. It was soft, and it wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as it could have been, inmho. So yeah, our experience was good pasta, good chicken parm, good oysters, and a good steak if it was half the cost they charged for it. But at that price, the steak was disappointing.

Visited for Valentine's Day early dinner. My husband made a reservation, which is a very easy process on Open table's website. Service: PRO - no wait time. The server was friendly, ready & available to explain the menu, special dishes & drinks for the day. The food & drink orders came quickly. The overall ambiance was very nice. Food: PRO- great selections. This is a steak house but offers pasta, chicken & seafood selections as well. All dishes were served in a cast iron skillet (hence the name "cast iron.") What a great concept. Appetizers: I ordered the crab cake. Delicious. My husband ordered the octopus. He truly enjoyed it. Drinks: I ordered the Cranbury mojito & he had the Winter Sangria. Both were delicious. You could definitely taste the alcohol - KUDOS!!! I also had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc with my dinner. Dinner: spectacular! I ordered the shrimp rigatoni w/vodka sauce. The dish was huge. The sauce was spectacular!!! I was only able to eat half. It tasted even better the next afternoon for my lunch!! My husband ordered the Prime New york strip - medium. Served with broccoli & baked sweet potato. We also ordered the side of spinach. The steak was cooked to perfection. Dessert: I ordered the warm brownie topped with vanilla ice cream & he had the bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream drizzled in caramel sauce! Cost: PRO- $260 + tip. Not bad for a great meal, with my favorite guy! Overall: I would definitely recommend and visit again! This restaurant is well worth the visit. We both left feeling wonderful & STUFFED!!
