Clemente's Pizza & Grill — Restaurant in New Haven

BEST PIZZA (maybe more) in New Haven. I have been in NH for years, I have eaten at all of the "best pizza places", Peppe's, Sally's, Modern, Bar etc. I stopped in here on the way home from work and while not thin crust, it was AMAZING. The sauce and toppings were amazing. Maybe a fluke, so I stopped in a few more times, same thing, amazing. DO NOT GIVE IT'S LOCATION of being in a tiny lot (hard to find) a reason to not try it out. It is family friendly on the inside, the workers and ownership seem great. The first time I ordered it was near closing, I got a free medium with my large because they had extras prepped and didn't want to waste it (or a customer canceled, I can't remember).

I'll update after I try their other food, the self proclaimed philly cheese steak, and more.

For less than 20 dollars I got the eggplant parm, salad, garlic bread. When I picked up the parm with ziti, it was so heavy I had to weight it. After sampling it was still just over 2 pounds on my kitchen scale. Fantastic as always with Clemente's. Best...

So I'm driving from New York to Boston and this place was exactly at the halfway point and had the best reviews among the pizzas places in the area. I understand why!

The menu is huge, everything from pizzas to tacos to salads to plates. The staff was so nice, too! They helped push some tables together for us because all of our plates couldn't fit on just one.

For a place we found by chance, it was a solid find. They have a deeply commendable cheese pizza, I had the shrimp taco, and we tried the veggie tostado as well. With 4 slices and a drink, the price was good, too, coming in under 20.

We're looking forward to stopping here on our way...

I was visiting from SC to see my family. My bro said "sis you've GOT to try their Philly cheese steak!" So I got the shrimp quesadilla AND the Philly cheese steak! And OMG!! That Philly was SOOOO good! The meat was so tender and finely diced, it melted in my mouth before I could even chew it! And to top it off, it had MUSHROOMS on it! YUMMY!!!! And the quesadilla was crispy and delicious as well! And their prices were well within my budget! I TRULY recommend this establishment to ANYONE wanting some good, quality food! I DEFINITELY will be back when I visit again in the next couple...
