I've been here many times now, but today was the absolute worst! I guess because the cashier/owner thinks he knows me and that he can go off on a tirade about his politics. He continually badgered me and became very loud, even when I moved myself toward the back of his store to wait for my sandwich. Note: the other workers there were gracious and kind. Maybe you should learn a lesson from your staff. Trying to incite other patrons with your big mouth fell flat, and I thank those that were there who witnessed your nastiness, did not join in. Great sandwiches, horrible service. Placed my order through the phone. I arrive to the pickup counter and my sandwich is ready behind the worker. I step in line and she continues to call other folks whose sandwiches are not ready pushing me to the side, in other words let your sandwich get cold. When she finally wants to take my money, it’s slammed on the counter with an attitude. Horrible service, good sandwiches don’t make up for the quality of the interaction. You get what you pay for. In my search for the best steak and cheese place in New Haven , I have found it. Ordered the Sicilian Steak and Provolone added chipotle mayo. Wow!!! I had a really tough decision on which sandwich to order because it all sounded great. I definitely ordered more for later that I sampled and loved. This was the first of many visits planned.
