Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant #2 — Restaurant in New London

The food was good but the service was not great. My date and I ordered our food and drinks at the bar. After eating for about 10 min, the waitress brought the bill. The place wasn't closing for another 50 minutes. My date tried getting her attention, and she would look at us, and then quickly look away after making eye contact, pretending not to see us, when she clearly wasn't helping anyone else. When my date was finally able to get her attention, he tried asking for a second drink and the server said they were done serving for the night. Then she went to bring drinks to a different table, and then another two people walked up to the bar and she served them both drinks. After seeing the shocked looks on our faces she offered to make him a second drink. She then said she was adding two more drinks to the bill, so he had to specify that he was the only person ordering a second drink and that he is hoping to only see one extra drink on the bill, and he had to say it twice because she pretended not to hear him the first time. My date is a really pleasant guy. If he was being loud or obnoxious, I could understand, but it was just strange to me. The food was good though. I had a burrito, and they cooked it right. And the rice and beans that went with it were good. I would have let this go, but my date was really upset. He didn't speak out or anything, but we just didn't feel welcome there, like they were annoyed to have to serve another set of customers. What we were charged and the prices on the menu were two different prices. We were traveling and stopped at a hotel for the night. I called in an order and my husband went to pick it up. They forgot to include a $17 dish!! I called after my husband returned with the food and they realized they forgot a dish. They asked if he could come back and pick it up. No he couldn’t! We traveled all day, tired and dealing with a toddler I asked if they could just refund my card for that one plate. The manager was having difficulty doing so and called me back to get my full Visa card number and still could not refund me the money. He asked if I wanted them to deliver the food to me but by this time it was after 9:15 pm and we were getting ready for bed. I was very disappointed. The beans were horrible. It was more like bean soup. Definitely spare yourself the hassle and go...

I’ve called before seeing that they delivered.... well the numerous times I called no delivery but they always tell me we deliver through door dash. Wasn’t a fan of delivery apps like that and still aren’t to a degree. I heard they were great, I’ve had great Mexican food and I love it. And from what I understand and heard the people owning Mi Casa are related to my favorite Mexican restaurant as well..... I’m really disappointed the food from the menu didn’t come close to what showed up it was a terrible image but it had potential. All in all I will never order from them in a delivery sense. Maybe dine in but very unlikely, ohh and there was no fresh salsa I had to throw some stop and shop fresh salsa on it for that authentic feel and taste🤦‍♂️ Oh and forgot the ranchero sauce for the...
