Wings’N’Pies New London — Restaurant in New London

Long rant incoming. My husband and I ordered $50 worth of food, plus a $10 tip. We got a small personal pizza, chicken tenders, a gyro with fries, fried pickles and two slices of Oreo cake. 5 minutes after placing the order, an employee called to say that they were out of the sauce we wanted for the tenders. No biggie, asked for honey mustard instead. 5 minutes later, she called back to say they were also out of the tzatziki sauce for the gyro. I was pretty chill about it, even though she was a bit brash and rude. That's alright, maybe having a bad night. We waited for about an hour and a half for the food to arrive. When it did come, the delivery driver called me and asked me to come outside to the road to get the food. A little strange, but I figured we did order a hefty bit of food, so I go out to get it. Nah, a small box and a bag on top. Not sure why he couldn't bring it to the door, but fine. We opened up the bag. Everything was cold. The "fried" pickles were pretty much just pickles dredged in breading and maybe microwaved or something? They were floppy and absolutely horrendous. Immediately threw them away. Chicken tenders were dry as a bone dug up from the Sahara. The pizza was so greasy it bled through the box and onto the table. And the cake. It was not oreo lol, just a slice of chocolate cake that tasted worse than a frozen box cake from a low end grocery store. It had pieces of torn off paper on the bottom of it, and was so cold you couldn't even stick a fork into it. I'm a fairly patient and understanding person, but all of these things combined into a terrible experience from this place. Needless to say, we won't be ordering...

TL;DR: Don't waste your time with this place, they will give you incorrect meals and refused to appropriately refund you or remedy the situation. The person answering the phone is extremely rude (see the other reviews that corroborate this). ————

Wings n’ Pies at the New London location used to be good! I’m not sure if they’ve gotten new management this year, but something has happened. In February I ordered takeout and received the wrong meal. I called the restaurant and spoke with a man on the phone who was rude and refused to remedy the the issue. I directly told him I’d either like the correct meal to be delivered to me, or for a refund. He repeatedly said “I don’t know what you want me to do” despite me CLEARLY telling him how I’d like the situation remedied. I cut my losses and just hung up.

Last night I ordered for the first time since that incident, but I ordered through a third party app because I thought I would be protected better from situations where I’d need a refund. Yet again, my meal was incorrect. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize Slice works with the restaurant to find a solution they see fit for situations like this.

The restaurant gave me a $2 discount for my meal being incorrect. Actual slap in the face.

Order from here at your own risk. The food is decent, but if your meal is wrong you’ll need to lie down and accept it. The only reason I’m giving 2 stars is because I did enjoy my food the first couple times I ordered from here. You get whatever they feel like giving you. Hope you never have the pleasure of talking to the owner or whoever...

Firstly I just want to say that these are owned and operated by individual people they are not owned by one person like I thought they were so this wings and pies specifically is the worst wings and pies I've ever ate at how do you burn the edges of an entire pizza then when we ordered five different sauce wings for $70 couldn't figure out what any of the sauce is were cuz they didn't label the boxes that they came in and one of our boxes of wings how to dry rub on it when we never ordered any dry rub wings we ordered five different sauces I called to figure out what what they could do and they jerked me around told me the owner wasn't there that I've receive a call back at 10:00 and as of right now it's 10:41 and no call The dude who answered the phone was super disrespectful was very ignorant and was essentially making fun of me and calling me all sorts of nasty names in Spanish which I may not speak Spanish but I'm not stupid and I understand the cuss words and then to be put on with another person to be told there's nothing they can do because that was my order it wasn't save your money go to the store and buy some DiGiorno and do not go to this one if you want good wings and pies go to the one on route 12 in Groton they're friendly respectful and they label their wings also I didn't even receive any of my extra sauces or dipping sauces nor did I receive either order of my 10 mozzarella sticks so essentially they stole like $20 from me trust and believe I will be going down there at 11:00 a.m. when they open and finally can complaint and demanding...
