Hygienic Art — Attraction in New London

There's so much you could say about the hygienic art galleries, actually tonight is the annual show, but I was there last week taking a yoga class in the front gallery. I've been to so many great shows and events in the outdoor space. The hygienic is an artist Cooperative that was created for the artist by the artists, they have a gallery space and event space, and work live space upstairs where artists can reside and have a apartment with a studio to do their work. They do a lot of Art in the community and with the local feeding at several schools, and for their annual show there's events throughout the city of New London Connecticut including a film series and a Gallery space for large objects this year, and several events...

This gallery is a true "art" gallery, in that you're likely to see unique things you haven't before, by people who are bonafide artsy artists. It's fun, mind bending, inspiring and sometimes even mildly offensive - definitely a lot of outside the box stuff. This all becomes even more evident in the annual Hygienic Arts Festival that happens around the last weekend of January, where the dial on culture peaks in New London. I really enjoy visiting here. They're always putting on events that are exciting to all of the senses. Most recently the performances at naked canvas we're a top notch!! The local talent in New London is a force to be reckoned with in so many mediums and I love finding new local artists and musicians to follow/ listen to!
