I honestly did not want to write this review due to the fact that I know how detrimental it could be to the business but as I hear even more terrible stories of others' experiences, I feel obligated to share mines.
My family and I have been customers at Pizzarama since I was a little kid. In fact, when family from out of the state come back, we make it a point to visit Pizzarama. My first experience with chili pepper flakes was me joking around as if I was thirsty and next thing you know I had a mouth full of pepper, which changed my life lol. I feel it is important to understand some of the history because it does bother me that I have to leave this review and Pizzarama was so nostalgic to me that it hurts knowing I will never go back.
I ordered a large hamburger pizza and a large, toasted ham grinder with mayo to go for my daughter and I to have dinner when I got home. I work in the area and then I have to drive home which takes about 20 min. When we were eating the pizza, we noticed a long piece of hair. I understand this happens by accident on occasion, so I gave Pizzarama a call and let the young lady who answered the phone know what happened. She offered to make a new one, but I told her I just got out of work and drove 20 min home; it is not convenient for me to go back there and come back home today. I do work in the area and I wouldn't mind picking it up for another night. She put me on hold, (assuming to ask her manager for permission) then she politely let me know that my name will be at the register to pick up for another night. This was fair in my opinion and I agreed. A week later my daughter and I were craving our pizza from our local establishment, and I placed the same order. When I went to pick up the pizza, I let the manager, who is the new owner, know about the situation. He showed little interest and proceeded to tell me that my name was not at the register. I assured him that I was told it would be and even had the date I called for proof. He then says, "Oh yeah, you're the reason the girl doesn't work here anymore." as he boxed up my pizza and said he still has to charge me for the grinder. Charging me for the grinder I was fine with but insinuating that I am the reason you let go of your employee because she was trying to correct the problem was insulting. I was actually stunned and then I said maybe he's just having a bad day and did not mean it like that. Until he followed up with "Yeah, she has you to thank for that." Instead of engaging in a dispute about who's right or wrong I decided to just leave. Now, in the heat of the moment I wanted to bash this place and put it all over social media etc but again I chose not to really due to the fact that Pizzarama once meant something to me with all the memories. As I continue to hear more horror stories about the new ownership, I finally took the time to leave my review. To the young lady who was let go because you were trying to do the right thing, I am sorry this happened to you and if you are looking for employment, reach out to me. I could always use an honest employee who does the right thing and I know plenty of business owners who do as well.
For those looking for a simple review to decide if this is where you want to eat ... DONT. 5 min away there is a local pizza shop called Supreme Pizza with better food and better people. They will call you by your name because you are not just another...
Read moreI’ve ordered from them for years and never had a problem. A few nights ago I put in an order at 8:37pm on the Slice app. I arrived around 8:55pm and when I told them I ordered off Slice he looked at me like he didn’t have the order. The man walked over to the other end of the counter where I’m assuming is the computer for a slice orders and was doing something for a few minutes. Then said oh wait it just came in. Called the girls in the back and said we have this order we need to make and when they asked what time it came in he said 8:37. So how’d it just come in? He’s calling off the things that need to be made and while doing that I got a text saying my order was cancelled by slice because the restaurant had not accepted the order in time. He says to the girls oh never mind the order was rejected. I said I didn’t reject it! He said no but slice did. I said ok so what do I do? He said…idk but we’re closed now we close at 9. Do you want a beer? I said no I don’t drink, and now I need to go figure out dinner for my son. I know he knew if he stood at the computer long enough this would happen. I’m pretty sure that slice even calls the business over and over until they accept the order so nothing gets missed. This was 💯 intentional and...
Read moreWas in the rest earlier today and witness terrible treatment of a mom and her kids. Guessing the children where about 2 maybe twins. The mom was down picking up the kids mess and the waitress yelled about the kids putting there hands on the windows. First thing is they where little and if the worse thing they do is look out the big windows then Leave then alone. Then once they where yelled at for that they where moved to a booth and at the booth there is a sign that lights up and one of them touched that and then the waitress and a cook yelled clear across the rest to totally embarrass this mom. Next thing I heard was another staff memeber say something under breath about this family. Apparently the mom heard it as well. She quickly exited and said she would not be returning. I have never witnessed such lack of customer service. I felt bad for this mom. I will not be patronizing a rest that treats there...
