BRUH!
I apologize for not leaving a review sooner, as I visited here about 3 months ago today, which is the last day of Black History month 23. I think this place broke me, more specifically the "HOT CHICKEN & HONEY BUTTER BISCUIT wrecked me, I believe its the culprit behind why I have yet to leave a review on Yelp since this sandwich made contact with my taste buds.
It was almost equivalent to the feeling of love at first sight, but at first bite lol😮😅. The moment my mandible encountered this New Orleanian concoction, I saw a tear glimmer from my eye and started laughing in disbelief. What I'm trying to describe is an almost out-of-body experience.
Yes, I know this is a bit dramatic but this is what excites me about different cuisines, the feeling of euphoria some dishes can give you, and fried chicken anit new fam lol but some how this place managed to make it worth my time in my home town of New Orleans.
I apologize for not leaving a review sooner, but the memory of that fateful day still haunts me, even after three long months. I can't believe that a single sandwich could have such a profound effect on me, but the "HOT CHICKEN & HONEY BUTTER BISCUIT" did just that. I believe its the culprit behind why I have yet to leave a review on Yelp since this sandwich made contact with my taste buds.
As I approached the counter, I could feel my heart racing with anticipation. The scent of fried chicken and warm biscuits wafted through the air, and I knew that I was in for a treat. I took a bite, and it was like nothing I had ever experienced before. The heat of the chicken mixed with the sweetness of the honey butter, and it was like a flavor explosion in my mouth. The moment my mandibles encountered this New Orleanian concoction, I saw a tear glimmer from my eye and started chuckling in disbelief.
I was so taken aback by the taste that I started to laugh uncontrollably. It was almost like an out-of-body experience. I knew that I had to share my experience with the world, but for some reason, I just couldn't bring myself to leave a review.
Now, as I reflect on that day, I can't help but wonder if there was something more to that sandwich. Was it really just the delicious combination of flavors, or was there something else at play? All I know is that I can't wait to go back and try it again, even if it means risking my sanity in the process.
Aight all dramatics aside, I have to highly recommend this place, not only for the food but for the great customer service. My order was made perfectly and the staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating.
The atmosphere of District Doughnuts is casual and welcoming, and I would come back here again in a heartbeat. I suggest everyone check it out and get ready to get your mind...
Read moreLooking for coffee and sweet treats in the early to mid- evening hours? In New Orleans, like in many cities, the coffee houses are often closed shortly after dinner, but there are some that stay open a little later, and one of them is District Donuts Sliders Brew on Magazine St.
I discovered this coffee house one night when I was out and about, looking for a coffee fix and seeking a place that was walking distance from my hotel. District Donuts Sliders Brew was open, so I decided to give it a try. My wife and I went for a walk, ordered some coffee and sweet treats, and then sat down to enjoy.
District Donuts Sliders Brew is situated in a narrow space, with a long row of seats on one side, right next to a brick wall. They serve coffee, tea, and other assorted drinks and they pride themselves in offering donuts at all times. They also have a small breakfast menu, and they serve lunch and dinner, offering such foods as burgers, chicken sandwiches, and kolaches. This wide assortment makes District Donuts Sliders Brew more of a restaurant than a coffee house. In fact, it has elements of both.
I visited to get coffee and donuts and I was quite pleased with the quality of my food and drink. The rich, delicious, sugar- fortified donut and the cup of hot coffee were just what I needed for a mid- evening boost. My wife was equally impressed, and we were both quite pleased that this establishment was open when we were craving this type of food and drink. They are open until 9pm, which worked for us. It was 8:30pm when we arrived and there were few customers present, so we were served quickly and didn’t feel rushed to finish.
I love a good cup of coffee and sweet treats. District Donuts Sliders Brew is ready to serve you both, and it’s a good choice for other, heartier foods, too. It has much to offer and earns a thumbs up from my...

I once stated that I don’t love the donuts, but I like the donuts, that still stands;HOWEVER, the breakfast taco is EVERYTHING!!!!!!
Chorizo Bacon Taco is the name and it is so yummy. I’ve been ordering it in the morning before work now for about a month. I hate when I’m done eating it because I’m always wanting more.
It’s a Flour Tortilla, Chorizo-Spiced Slab Bacon, Scrambled Egg, Havarti Cheese, Pico de Gallo, Jalapeno Sauce— straight from the website.
Ya’ll this taco has me in a chokehold. I try not to order so much because that slab of bacon isn’t the healthiest, lol. I add a lavender lemonade and my meal is complete!
Also, I love the names of the donuts for the Swifties in town for the concert, blank space is the funniest. I did end up getting one just because it was cute.

Okay. I like the donuts, but I don’t love the donuts. Every time I’ve tried their donuts, they are dry. Sure, they are super pretty and decorated nicely!! However, it’s a dry donut under cute decoration or super sweet icing. I wanted to love so bad but even the regular glazed donut was dry.
I do like their cold brew which I stop by often to get. I’ve not tried the food but have heard great things. I do plan on sitting in one day to try the menu.
Love they customer service + location of this District Donut. They clearly have such a nice assortment of donuts + food which is a...
