I went to Felipe’s for the first time after the Bacchus Parade this year and the caveat to this review is that I understand that it’s busy. But with that being said, I get up to the register and order a Felipe’s special and the cashier tells me that they are out of all of it, no chips, queso, guacamole, or salsa. However I watched the workers put two large scoops of guacamole on my friend’s bowl who ordered right in front of me and I could see that they had a lot more left in the bin. When I asked if they had guacamole and pointed to it, the cashier told me that’s all they had left, implying that he wouldn’t give me any and that it was meant for customers who wanted other items on the menu. At this point I didn’t want to be rude and argue, so I asked for fries, the cashier proceeds to ask if I want queso fries, which stunned me because just a few minutes ago he said they were all out of it. And then later while waiting for my fries, I saw a worker pouring queso over other menu items being made.
I was very disappointed with this service because I am a paying customer like everyone else who was in line after me. I doubt these workers would have looked at people who came in earlier in the day and told them they couldn’t have a menu item because they were running low on food and were saving the food for other customers that evening. I felt it was rude that they wouldn’t allow me to at least pay for queso and guacamole even if they didn’t have any salsa.
This was my first time so I’m unsure how large the Felipe special is, but I would have been happy to get even some small cups of guac and queso so that way they wouldn’t run out, but I wasn’t given that option either.
If they were actually out of all the food items like they had said I would have been understanding of that because it is a very busy time of the year, but that didn’t seem to be...
Read moreI wanted to share a picture but the food was too delicious. My boyfriend and I were hungry and we wanted something outside of the usual fast food spots. We ordered Felipe’s. We got the 3 chicken tacos, chips and queso, a super burrito and churros. Once we got home we realized our order was wrong. I called the store and was forwarded to the manager. His name was Jorge’ I believe. He politely introduced himself and asked me what was wrong with my order. After I explained, he apologized and remade my entire order. He didn’t get a bad attitude or sound as if he was annoyed with my complaint. He made sure to assure me my order would be correct and that I can come back and get it. Once arriving back to the store, it was a bit busy so I was waiting awhile before being serviced. He noticed I hadn’t been helped yet and asked my name. Once I told him he gave my my food and apologized again for the inconvenience. While waiting for my food in the store I got to sit back and watch. Jorge’ was on the line with the workers. He was cleaning and helping. He greeted customers and packed orders. This guy was a team player. That’s the type of stuff that matters and should be recognized. I most def would recommend this location....
Read moreThe employees are very nice they were very patient with me figuring out my order as i had never been there and didnt know all the available toppings. However, the food just tastes bad, man. Some of it was overcooked, some undercooked. I can make better mexican food at home, and this stuff is way overpriced for the quality. Tortilla soup was cold and very watery, and the quesadilla i got (they rolled it up like a burrito? In a RAW tortilla? Not sure if thats normal) had barely any cheese in it, so it was super dry and the pulled pork just tasted.. bad. I spat out the first bite. Floutas were super overcooked, the whole thing was just a big crunch. I also had a plate with chorizo, rice, corn, and pico de gallo however they put so much juice from the pico de gallo it made it all watery. The chips were decent but the salsa just tasted like straight up cilantro and seemed watery as well. Took a 10 minute drive to return it all and got my money back with no problems. I am rating this place with 2 stars, one for the good people who helped fix my plates and one for how easy it was for me to get a refund for the food. Neither of those two stars represent the food this places serves, because the food...
