Food Restaurant - Blazin' Hot Chicken — Restaurant in New Orleans

Today we accidentally stumbled on Blazin’ Hot Chicken after then GPS lead us here, mistaking it for another eatery. The young lady at the register was friendly and explained choices before ordering. She even let it be known that waivers must be signed for the hottest spice levels and I can understand why. We elected to do (2) Blazin #2 which consisted of 3 Large Tenders, Waffle Fries, 3 Pickles, 2 Pieces of Bread, and 2 Sauces.

Truly glad that I chose the medium spice level as it was enough for me. The Chicken Tenders were hot and heavily covered with the spices. Unfortunately, they had no flavor whatsoever. Not a hint of salt or any seasonings we appreciate when it comes to Fried Chicken. Thank goodness for the sauces! I only ate 2 of my 3 Tenders. The uneaten one was not appealing and it was not a juicy meaty one (Pause) like the others.

We also tried the Mac & Cheese after confirming it was not Spaghetti Noodles. For $5 it was served in a round paper container with a lid, to be open for your surprise, and I was after a small taste. The Mac & Cheese was “HORRIBLE”! They got to stop thinking that they can just charge and serve this mess, tasting like plain noodles with some generic canned/bagged Cheese Sauce. To make it even worse, it was not even warm but more close to the cold side. Being hot could have made a difference but still It tasted disgusting 🤮.

This best part of my meal was the Orange Soda only because the Fruit Punch dispensed was not sweet.

One shot for me and I can’t see myself ever eating there again unless we see some true improvements!

I recently broke my fast with Blaze Hot Chicken, and I can honestly say it was one of the most satisfying meals I’ve ever had. My dad and I went with the Blaze and Number 2 spice levels, and both were absolutely phenomenal. The chicken was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, with a bold, flavorful heat that hit every bite just right. Each piece was packed with flavor and left me completely satisfied—exactly what I needed after fasting.

I paired my meal with the Blazing Fried Loaded Fries, which were nothing short of incredible. The fries were golden and perfectly seasoned, topped with melted cheese and savory toppings that made every bite a delight. To round out our meal, we grabbed a chocolate milkshake to go—it was rich, creamy, and the perfect sweet contrast to the spicy chicken.

The restaurant itself is welcoming, clean, and staffed by friendly, attentive team members who make the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. Portions are generous, and the attention to detail in both flavor and presentation clearly shows a dedication to quality.

Just had one of the best fried chicken meals EVER at Blazing Hot Chicken in New Orleans! From the moment we walked in, both owners were incredibly welcoming and super friendly, they checked on us multiple times. You can tell they really care about their food and their customers. I got the #5 and the rest of my family got the #4, both were absolutely amazing. You get to pick your spice level, which is great for everyone from spice lovers to mild fans. The pickles were perfectly crunchy and salty, and the coleslaw? So good I could eat it by itself! Don’t even get me started on the sauces, they were next level. The bread was soft, the chicken was juicy and crispy, and the portions were HUGE. I’m pretty sure the #4 crunchwraps weighed like 4 pounds each (not kidding). The fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy too. Inside, the vibe is just as impressive, awesome graffiti art throughout the space, including the bathrooms, plus great music and a fun atmosphere. I have no doubt everyone will know the name Blazing Hot Chicken in a few years. Run, don’t walk....
