Waffle House — Restaurant in New Orleans

This review will be based on about 6 visits during their busy hours. [9:00 & 11:30] 1st. 6/27/2016 - 9:00am - First time I went there I was attended to add soon as I sit down. I placed my order and went to go wash up. Honestly, 3 mins later when I walked out my food was already on my table. I suspected they gave me someone's else order but o well. 2nd. 6/27/2016 -11:30am - Same day. Returned for lunch but this time the service was bad. It took 13 mins for me to place my order. I think they threw my burger away due to miscommunication because I stated I need to go. It was already 11:57. They offer to give me a burger that was on toast that had no dressing on it, seeing I was hungry I took the offer and left. Two guys that were next to me didn't get their food after waiting about 20+ mins. Miscommunication again because, they stated they were their and placed their order before anyone else and people who came in 13 mins later were already eating. 3rd. 6/28/2016 - 11:30am - Average service from waitress, placed order and got my food in about 10 mins. Nothing special. 4th. 6/29/2016 - 11:30am - Who ever cooked the bacon on this day Knows how to cook bacon. It wasn't burnt or too crispy. Placed order, got it in 10 mins. Got charge 50 cents for extra egg [only cost 40 cents]. Average service from waitress. 5th. 6/30/2016 - 11:30am - The toast was bad, it tasted like dry up crackers. Didn't get the 3rd egg I order with my meal but was charge for it. Average service from waitress. 6th. 7/1/2016 - 5:10am - Toast wasn't even toasted, it felt like they just threw it in the toaster for 10 seconds. Food came in slow despite it not being busy. 7th. 7/5/2016 - 11:30am - Cos were slow today, got food in 17 mins. Forgot to mention that there was an eye lash on my plate Friday morning [have picture] and I found one in my toast and on the butter today. I'm done with this place, will not be returning.

Overall, it's not a good place for lunch since they get swarm everytime. Nothing special. The cooks do their best but the overflow of people makes it hard for them. So far the best waitress that served me was Bessie? [Think I misspell her name] Everyone else just kind of falls short in...

I just left the window with my KIDS, a supposed young lady by the name of Mikayla, if that’s how you spell it, was extremely rude in front of my children, the young man who was working with her and she were just snide, she was extremely IGNORANT and facetious, she didn’t want to help at all and neither did he. Her attitude and back talk was deplorable and I wasn’t even having an attitude. I simply asked the difference between the steak breakfast and the steak dinner and the response of eggs was so rude I had to ask her if she was ok. She kept laughing and walking away from the window at each question instead of waiting to see what we needed. She knew what she was doing and she accomplished exactly what she wanted to accomplish cause she surely celebrated with her coworker when I said you know what, never mind. I then very politely asked her name and she and the guy bust out laughing together, again, you really would have thought my kids and I were their own personal comedy show. She then says “again? Another one of em want my name bruh, I ain’t gon even make you go through all that, my name Mikayla “. So from her own admission, CLEARLY her attitude is bad enough to have more than one customer ask for her name. And they think it’s funny. Then she proceeds to say how she needs to get away from this window before…. I guess before she go off or something? Idk, I know it’s unprofessional tho and I’m definitely going to call corporate! Now it’s 6:07 in the morning, and my kids just saw your deplorable staff basically make fun of their mom, who had an early morning emergency with her kids so to put a smile on their faces they asked for Waffle House and I can’t even give them that because of your unprofessional, weird staff. Do better, because NOBODY who treats customers this way would EVER work for me. Like EVER. And if these are the types of employees that Waffle House is ok with employing, then it’s definitely time for me to rethink being a customer PERIOD! Now I’m at Betsy’s Pancake house right in the next block and I’m glad I took my money elsewhere because THIS is a restaurant who values and actually WANTS to serve...

Poor service. Just awful, went in as a party of 4, sat at the "bar seating" and were barely paid any attention to. The worst thing was the food we ordered. Myself, a waffle...which they completely ruined. (HOW?! its IN the name!!) -- it was so undercooked i could still taste the raw batter when I took my first (and only) bite. It was barely a golden color,(you know the crispy golden color we've all generally come to associating with our expectations of a prepared,ready to eat, waffle) it seemed more of a dull yellow. -- but it gets worse. Two others in my group ALSO ordered waffles - so before you're thinking "easy mistake, every once in a blue, a waffle doesn't come out right, it could happen to anyone" right? -- yeah, NO. ALL 3 waffles. That's THREE times this person had to correctly prepare a WAFFLE. Each time, just crashing and burning into oblivion. Extremely disappointing, I have to admit. I have been a huge WH patron for maaanyy years(and will continue to be) And in all my visits to any given location, in all the different cities around the US I've been to, in all these years -- I don't think I've ever seen someone screw up cooking a waffle so spectacularly. That takes effort. I mean, you have to TRY, to mess that up. I will still continue to be a devoted WH customer-- just never this location. Ever. God speed to anyone who braves...
