Pizza is mediocre at best. Any chain pizza place is better. I got the "Pizza D Supreme" and you can see from the photo that it compares to what you'd expect from a store-bought frozen pizza! The inside dining area is very noisy and loud so that you have to shout for someone across the table to hear you. Some of the staff are very rude. One in particular is extremely rude. They add a 12% gratuity even on take out orders and apparently expect you to add more to your bill when the extent of the "service" they provide is taking your order at the counter and bringing your food to the table. The particularly rude employee looked at my payment slip and then gave me a dirty look, most probably because he saw I did not leave an EXTRA tip. The table where I sat had not been cleaned so I moved to another table and it was also uncleaned. I had to get paper towels and clean it myself. The outdoor seating area is especially nice for mosquito lovers, although it's much quieter even with the live music from the excellent place next door, Bratz Y'all. If anyone is ever in the area looking for great food and some of the best beer locally available, pass up Pizza Disappointing and head over to Bratz Y'all.

*updated 3/31/25: Came back after a negative experience after receiving outreach from a manager. We had a smooth experience placing our order in person. We tried the vodka pie and shrimp scampi. Menu seems to change fairly regularly which is nice. The shrimp scampi is my favorite pasta to date. Shrimp cooked nicely, not overcooked at all. Fresh handmade quality pasta with a light herb packed sauce, very “spring” appropriate. We came just before a big dinner crowd formed, but the line moves very quickly. Service is great, everyone seems to put in the extra mile. Old review: Was a huge fan of this place until a bad experience today. We ordered online. Showed up 10 min later, politely waited for help and gave my name to a female with pink braids in her hair when I walked in. Said it would be 15 min. Sat down at the table directly in front of the register. 30 min go by, she walks by us 10-20 times. I go up to ask for my order, they said “we couldn’t find you” and there was our food waiting the whole AND COLD. The pizza and pasta I paid $58 for including their 12% service charge for. Our name was never called. I sat 2 feet from the front desk

As a native New Yorker, I searched high and low for three years to find a great NY pizza place in New Orleans, but Pizza Delicious stands out as the best NY-style pizza experience in NOLA. I say "experience" because it truly replicates the style that I am used to; casual and warm environment, great pizza, garlic knots, salads, and pasta. Pizza is of good quality, whether you get normal cheese (my favorite) or one of their great specials (I just got their italian sausage pizza last night, it had big chunks of red peppers and sausage, amazing). I will say that I think Mid City Pizza's pizza is a little bit better, but Pizza D has the edge on overall experience. Often crowded, but recent renovations included extra seating, so usually you can get a seat. Besides, its the best pizza in the city, so of course its crowded. My only only problem with Pizza Delicious is that I need to drive 20 minutes to get there from my uptown home. Pizza delicious, if you are listening, please please open up a new location uptown, it would be a huge hit with the Tulane crowd.

They still have the worst service in town. Nice pizza if you can get it, but, after waiting another two years before trying again and seeing that they actually have a delivery service that seems to work, they apparently won't sell to me because of my previous experience. They clearly have no concept of customer service and also aren't interested in learning what that actually is. I urge others who have had bad service experiences with them to share because that is the only way they will improve. I could certainly come up with a zillion ways of ordering if I wanted to, but no kind of food is worth the aggravation that they inflict on people.

------ Prior Review from 2/2/2021-------

Seriously, after a couple of years of not ordering from them anymore due to their awful customer service, I tried giving them another chance, and it went ok for a couple of times, but unlike other businesses on Postmates, they won't take orders over the phone and so the Postmates workers have to go there, stand in a long line, and order--which is pretty awful given the fees that Postmates workers earn. Like a few years ago, I was on a tight timeline and ordered. An hour after the order, the restaurant tells Postmates they can't do the order. When I call, the restaurant says Postmates canceled the order, but I called Postmates, and they insisted that it was the restaurant. The restaurant insists they don't work with Postmates, but Postmates says that they would remove any restaurant that doesn't want to be in there, so clearly, this restaurant is perfectly ok ruining their brand via their refusal to insist that Postmates not deliver their pizza. Mind you, it's pretty foolish given that the restaurant's own delivery service is so bizarre; their delivery range is super strict and unbendable. I did have a few choice words for them, and I'd probably apologize for it, except I had to go onto a long livestream meeting without any dinner for the second time due to the ineptitude of this business. Their pizza is pretty good, but they have beluga caviar at $20 an ounce, and it wouldn't be...

As the their slogan implies, Pizza Delicious is simply "delicious pizza." Located in the popular Bywater area of the city, Pizza D offers a variety of slices that are sure to please most palates. Their signature 3 slices are cheese, pepperoni, and margherita. In addition to these ongoing staples, they offer rotating weekly special slices and pies (meatball, Hawaiian, garlic mushroom, etc.) with a wide variety of toppings (usually extra with price pending on the desired topping option). The specials and toppings even include vegan options! If you want something slightly healthier or just not feeling pizza, please try their range of pastas and salads that also have rotating specials. And what better way to wash down this amazing feast than with a great and diverse beer selection (both draft and cans available).

If you are lucky enough to live in the area, Pizza D offers bike delivery (check website for exact radius and details). Patio seating with umbrellas is available on the side of the building. The patio area is pet friendly.

The restaurant is very popular; therefore, there is generally a line and fair wait time associated with this, so just be prepared. It is totally worth it! There is no designated parking lot, but there is usually ample off street parking located around the area. And if the weather allows, enjoy your pizza to-go while you walk around and soak in the sights of Crescent City Park located just one block from the restaurant (highly recommend)!

If you are looking for a premiere, popular, pizza palace paradise, then look no further than Pizza Delicious. You may find yourself walking out with a whole pie rather than just a...

Update 01/18/22 - The pizza is still very delicious, but the wait...my gosh...the wait. From the door to the register with about 4-5 people ordering, it takes about 30-35 minutes. The system they have in place is that there's ONE register to order AND pick up your orders. I called in an order via phone, but when I showed up, I was directed to wait in the one line to pick up. To pick up my phone order, it took 35 minutes of waiting. Advice to Management: Revise your process! You have multiple registers. When you see your employee getting slammed, open up the second one. You can't have folks waiting this long to pick up an order. Especially in this age of rampant car jackings, customers can't afford to have their significant others waiting in cars while you wait for your pizza. Briefly browsing your other reviews, your pickup system is definitely a recurring theme. Please consider a revision. I love your pizza.

Pizza Delicious is amazing. Their pizzas are always fantastic. They do the New York style thin crust that's a huge slice with a decent bite to the crust. Fresh ingredients, good variety, friendly service. The seating outside is really nice as well. Don't forget to try their delicious pastas. I often stop by and grab a couple of slices for me and the family to take to crescent park (less than a block away) and have a quick bite...
