I will not be going back. I ordered the California omelet. Got it and was surprised to see onions all in it. Onions are not supposed to be in the omelet, and I HATE them. We couldn't get the waitress. She rarely checked on us and we had to call for help numerous times before just to get someone to finally refill our drink. Food finally came and this happened. Finally, I was able to flag her down. She didn't even apologize when she took it back. It took a while to get the new one. Asked to speak to the manager and she claimed there was no manager there. When asked if she would comp something for the trouble, she said no. By the time my food finally came out my friend had already finished eating. Finally a manager, who apparently wasn't there according to the waitress, came to apologize. Nothing was comped and the waitress never once apologized. The omelet was actually mediocre, too. I will not be back. Bland food with poor service.. now I know why when I asked another friend about this place he said he couldn't remember, it had been years but he remembers never wanting to go back....

The hashbrowns aren't hashbrowns they are just potatoes with salt. I ordered extra cheese on the boudin eggs and didn't get much cheese more or less extra plus not much boudin at all for the amount of eggs. If someone wants extra cheese they obviously like a lottt of cheese.

My girl ordered an omelet not on the menu but a few different things from a similar omelet that is on the menu and we were charged for every topping instead of the 2 different so the omelet was like $18 for a custom omelet instead of what should have been like $10.

The pecan pancake was good but super small for $8. Thought we would get like a 3 stack not one small pancake for that price. The pecans were all thrown in the middle instead of spread out in the pancake which some bites were like eating straight pecans.

The drinks were good and stiff (screwdriver and balini).

Waitress was good but they seemed under staffed for the amount of...

Poor service and poor food.

We were really excited to check out a neighborhood favorite while we were in town, but this was just horrible. We asked to sit outside and then the server brought us water and did not return for 5 minutes as we sat without menus. She came back and apologized then got us a menu and did Not return for 10 minutes. After that, we decided to sit at the bar so we could at least order. She complained to another server that she was too busy to get to us and then took our order after a few minutes. I ordered the eggs portchartrain and my husband ordered the crab cake benedict. The crawfish was so salty that it was inedible, there was way too much hollondaise sauce over the plate, and the eggs were poached for too long. She never asked how our food was despite standing five feet away from us. Poor service and poor food, I won’t...

Convenient local breakfast (or lunch) joint for those in the neighborhood. Gets the job done. Friendly staff. Most dishes are reasonably priced. However, the food is kind of hit or miss for me. One time I went the potatoes I ordered came not very hot and not very soft and they didn’t get my second order of bacon (but wasn’t charged for it either.) The last time I went the potatoes were *perfect* but the bacon was not hot. Seems to be a timing issue present in the kitchen. Apple juice is a bit expensive for just coming out of a jug of apple juice you get at the store. $3.50 for a small glass of a $4 jug. Don’t look up cus there’s lots of dust above, which has probably not been cleaned in years. I want to like the place. Clean it, and fix the cook’s timing and it’ll be great!

These places in the middle of neighborhoods are true gems. Parking is in the hood, so plan accordingly...walk, taxi, Uber, just don't expect valet service. Staff is super friendly in this big 'ol space that looks like a really old grocery store, honestly I don't know the history but you can feel it with an inviting atmosphere and art on the walls for sale! Breakfast was wonderfully standard cafe fare and my breakfast sandwich and pancakes were very good and satisfying, the potatoes might've been a bit too oily but I still ate them all. My breakfast was perfect for a busy New Orleans day ahead. Morning beverage options at the cafe were as expected and more than adequate. I would definitely happily return for other menus items and more boozy drinks!

We took a short walk up for breakfast this morning. Read the reviews and they were spot on. Great selection of breakfast items, drinks and very spacious. It was very busy but Missy, our server was quick to get our coffee and orders. Coffe was good for a local Diner and the food was great. I got huevos ranchers and they were amazing. My first time eating this dish and I loved it. Husband had classic Eggs Benedict with grits. He said they were really good. Missy was amazing, she kept our coffee cups full and checked if we needed anything else. It was busy but food was out quickly and it was nice and hot.
