I dined here last night with two friends, one who is vegan and was really excited to have a double menu (vegan/non-vegan; please scroll down to see her terrible experience). First, the online menu does not match the printed menus, and they only have 2 beers on draft unlike what is advertised (according to the bartender). Second, the bartender could not make a Pimm's cup or Moscow mule, however, did make a pretty good margarita. I tried to order the 3 side vegan plate, and was told he would double check they could do what I wanted. When the server/bartender returned to the table he acted like it was all good so I didn't change my order. Two of the things that I ordered came out 15-20 minutes before my friends plates, and they were full size appetizers, clearly not the portion you would receive with a pick 3 option. I was not given the opportunity to choose how my fried cauliflower was served, even though the menu states choices of breading and sauces. My third full size appetizer was served before my friends' food, which was getting close to 40 minutes since we had ordered. When my friends' food arrived, I was immediately on red alert because the vegan option was supposed to be jackfruit, and she was clearly given a beef patty with a cream sauce on it. THE CRIME: after she asked the server to double check if her order was correct, he walked inside and walked back out, and told her it was jackfruit. She sent it back, and 15 or so minutes later he brought out what was actually visibly jackfruit with no sauces on it. She was credited 10% off the sandwich, which was only $1.70 off her meal. Our bill was rang up on one ticket, and we were told it could be split evenly 3 ways, but not by what each person ordered. I was left with $28 worth of appetizers when I had ordered a $15 plate of "pick 3." When I questioned this, my question was steam rolled as he started another conversation. I handed over my card to pay for the entire bill since it couldn't be split, and when it was returned, the server was hovering over my shoulder waiting for me to complete the tip. He said he was trying to close out, it was 6:40. He had definitely been funny and upbeat at the beginning of our experience, but I found this to be completely rude and was the nail in the coffin for me. Thankfully one of my friends saw what was happening and diverted his attention for a moment. There could have been a reason for one or two slip-ups: we were sitting outside, they just reopened a month ago, etc. But for 7+ reasons, we will...

Amazing Dining Experience: Last week I visited New Orleans with my wife and we had the most incredible dining experience at Soule' Cafe! Upon entering the restaurant, we were impressed by the display of genuine southern hospitality by our hostess/server. This is an "off-the-beaten path" restaurant and we felt right at home from the start. We wanted to try a variety of vegan dishes, so we ordered an array of appetizers to share. The food was absolutely delicious! Our favorites were the vegan wings and vegan gumbo! This was the best meal that we had during our entire visit to New Orleans! Our meal was prompt, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. Our server was very attentive, knowledgeable, and offered great recommendations. She made us feel right at home. At one point the owner herself visited our table to ensure that we were satisfied. She was very pleasant and we felt very appreciated as patrons of her restaurant. The atmosphere was clean, down home and comfortable. It felt like we were sitting at home, in our own dining room. As a bonus; at the end of our visit, our server gave us a tour of the entire establishment including the outdoor dining spaces and the roof which were both very nice and seemed perfect for events. We wish much success to Soule' Cafe's owner and staff! We can't wait to come back and try more items from their menu. Definitely a new favorite spot when we visit New Orleans! If you're looking for great plant-based food options in New Orleans, look no further, you have found your place! We recommend Soule'...

I placed an order on doordash. I waited to see if the order would be confirmed, but it wasn’t. The order was still pending for what seemed like over 10 minutes. I called to ask if the order had gone through and the lady was rude. She told me it had only been 10 minutes and that I shouldn’t expect the food to be delivered. I never asked about the food being delivered, I just wanted to make sure the order went through because normally doordash tells you the order is confirmed and tracks the progress after confirmation. I tried to explain this to her but she was annoyed with me for calling and hung up (even though I was trying to be nice and explain the situation, I even said thank you when she confirmed that my order had been received). Immediately after the call my order was confirmed on doordash. Obviously they hadn’t confirmed the order, yet they were annoyed with me for asking. I don’t normally review customer service, but the woman on the phone was very rude for no reason. I hope they can find kinder people to answer their phone. Also hope they can confirm their orders sooner on their side so I know the order was placed and is being prepared.

When the food arrived it was good but they got the order wrong. I was quite frustrated with...

Super good gem of a place. Our vegan party of 3 got spinach dip & chips, gumbo, the chx nuggets, garlic parmesan chx wings and beignet fries. The cup of vegan gumbo was quite a bit and hearty with beyond sausage in it. The vegan nuggies were thin and crispy and really good. The vegan wings looked like calamari at first super flavorful and the sauces are awesome. Forgot to get a picture bc we just dug in. The vegan spinach dip was really tasty and the chips were AMAZING. The vegan beignet fries... every bite made us so happy. 💯 I'm super happy we got to try this place. Will be back for sure.

This place is more of vegan food but also has friends menu who is not vegan. We went more to have vegan food. Had vegan fish , jackfruit burger , vegan Etoufe and beignet. Food was overall good. One has to wait for some time because things are made fresh. Etoufe was good but portion could have been better. Jackfruit burger and vegan fish were good. They could add some more option otherwise good place to dine in.
