I understand folks gotta train and learn, it’s just unfortunate for us that we came during someone learning. However, it really hurt to see them in action. It HAD to be their first night and the first time they EVER had seen a pen and note pad, spatula, eggs, toast, or ever stepped into the restaurant.
Although very kind people and the food WAS FRESH, it was like prying candy from a baby to get it.
Before I even start with our order, the lady taking the previous order had to go back like 4-5 times to ask for clarification. She might as well have taken the order all over again as it got prepared because she went back so many times.
Ordered the eggs and bacon and the bacon hash brown bowl for ourselves and it took a while to even get our order started. I guess each ticket is made to order which meant the food was very fresh and they got 5 stars for that. Got our food like 30 minutes after ordering. Mind you there was only one order ahead of ours and it was 3-4 plates.
Once our plates were served, they sat for about 5 minutes because they forgot to put the toast for the eggs and bacon plate. The toast burnt so they apologized and put a new one down and offered jelly but were sitting on our plates. Asked them to just give us our plates and to give us the toast when it was ready. Once it WAS ready, it sat there for another 5 minutes because the cook was working on the next plate (for two guys who waited for 25 minutes to even get to place their order). I had to ask for the toast and they didn’t bring the jelly. Lol.
Watching this all happen was painful. I felt bad for the guys waiting to even order. They said to her “we haven’t placed our order yet” and she said “oh, I know”. Like, what? Lol just our luck that we came when tweedle dee and tweedle daa were working.
There was no music playing in the background until we were getting up to leave. Sometimes you gotta accept that you aren’t made for certain jobs and call it. Good try but just not...
Read moreI love Waffle House. I travel around the country for work and eating at Waffle House is a normal. This particular morning we stopped in for a little breakfast and was met with the worst service I think I've ever experienced at a Waffle House. The server took a long time just to take our order despite the restaurant being empty. She came to the table and placed our utensils down and then took another 10 minutes to find her notepad. Once I have food was ordered and delivered to the table we noticed immediately that some of the things were not right. We were trying to be as patient as humanly possible but after realizing that our eggs were not cooked all the way through, we wanted them replaced. She brung back two eggs instead of the four that we ordered. They did not separate the grits from the rest of the plate like we requested and they did not have lemons to go with the honey that I requested. The final straw was when she charged me for all four eggs despite the fact that the first set of eggs were runny. I'm not sure if these people are all new but I was very disappointed in my service today at this Iaffle House. I do not plan on visiting this...
Read moreThe waitress was really nice, and MOST of the food was decent. However, I wouldn't recommend going to a waffle place to order a steak, lol. My daughter ordered the steak, and it was terrible. Also, the entire staff was smoking weed in the parking lot when we got there. The smell was so strong, and we had to walk strait through A LOT of smoke to get in the door- which my daughter HATES. BUT.....The place was completely empty of customers before us, and for who knows how long since it was pretty late at night/early in the morning when we went. They all stopped smoking to follow us in, and immediately greeted us with service. I also noticed that none of them washed their hands upon returning to the kitchen, but the cook did atleast put on gloves before dropping our food. 🤣 🤷♀️(what can I say, I try to look on the bright side of things.) After all, we are ALL just human beings... right?
The waitress was really nice tho.. or maybe she was just high....
