Los Magueyes Mexican Grill — Restaurant in New Port Richey

We have been to Los Magueyes many times in the past and always had a good experience. This ended on Tuesday May 21st. We took friends to the restaurant and arrived about 6:45 PM. No one was around to greet us or seat us so this should have been our first clue. Finally a harried waiter showed up and took us to a table. Our drink order was taken promptly and our food order was taken shortly after. At 7:30 PM our food still hadn't arrived and our waiter was nowhere to be found, he never even came by to see if we needed more drinks or chips. We finally flagged the owners wife down and asked where our food was and got a very curt reply that they had a big party in the back. So in other words their business was more important to them than ours measly order. If this was the case we should have been informed about the large party and that there would be a wait for our food before we were seated not after we waited over 45 minutes for our food. We were just about ready to pack up and leave about 7:40 PM when our food finally arrived. People that had arrived after us got their food before us. The food was decent but when we were done and ready to get the bill, our waiter had disappeared. We finally went and stood by the register to try and get someone's attention and finally had to chase him down for it. No one apologized for our wait. After this experience I'm no sure if we'll return or not since it didnt seem like they cared whether we gave them...

When in for lunch with my Daughter had to wait 14 minutes to be seated .. the place only had five customers. Then .his wife come drops of the chips and by drop off really drop of like slam it on the table .. No hello hi nothing . Just a he will be with you . Again waiting For someone to come and see what we wanted to drink , by this time my daughters mouth was burning from the salsa sauce.. AGAIN PLACE ISNT BUSY. Another customer walks in he takes them to a table gives them the menu take the order drink and the order comes out with the drinks mind you were still waiting another 12 minutes meanwhile all this time his wife is just standing there I saw her with the one person she walks back huffing and puffing to play with her phone.. We tried to get their attention with a third table walking into your left and no one even came to see if we wanted to drink or take our order…. AND YES WE GOT UP AND WALK OUT.. I have been there many times before. But I will assure you that was my last time going there the service is horrible the food is good but Horrible service no customer manners just plain lazy .. One person up front a older man taking drinks order and a very tall heavyset lady playin her phone.. this I have seen and Witness before again never going back there my neighbors like to go there I’m going to recommend for them to go to the other Mexican restaurant of...

Poor customer service! After eating here regularly ( pretty much weekly) I will not be returning again. My family went for dinner Saturday evening and it was the worst experience I've ever had there or at any restaurant! We were seated next to a large party that unfortunately our waiter was tending to along with us. We ordered fairly fast but when he brought the food he dropped it off and quickly turned and left without asking if we needed anything else which we did 4 of our 5 glasses were empty. We waited for about 15 minutes (while he brought checks out to the large party) before we got up to ask someone else, the front end manager, for refills. He was very put off by our request and blamed it on the large party. 5 minutes later our waiter brought refills. When we went to check out we waited for a cashier too long and asked the front end manager to cash us out which once again angered him. I voiced my frustrations about the situation with him and he argued back with me, threw his hands in the air and walked away after yelling at the cashier for not being at the register. Now to me a concerned manager would have apologized and or maybe offered to not charge us for the drinks instead of getting angry with us. Also if a waiter has a large party to take care of then maybe they should not have other smaller parties to serve or work as a team with...
