El patio has always been my favorite place to eat . I go there ever time it’s my birthday or when I just plain feel like it , i absolutely love the food and the environment but one of my main favorites that just disappoints me now is their salsa ! It used to be soooo good and spicy and I absolutelyyy loved it ..sometime in 2024 the spice is completely gone ..all I taste is straight cilantro .. but last time I went about a week ago , it tasted like plain salsa .. I feel like the older generation might have had a hand in them changing the salsa recipe because it’s “too spicy” …I have a word for the older generation, if youre complaining about salsa being spicy , you need to go head and order some queso ..salsa ain’t for you . Just ate at El Patio here. My server Analy was pretty rude. She got my drink and food no problem. But I assume because I was a party of 1 I wouldn’t tip? She didn’t check on me once, and brought me my check without even asking if needed another drink or a to-go box. Had to ask her as she passed by. Pretty sure on a $24 tab the 20% is $4.98. Left her a $10 tip knowing that 1 tops aren’t always crapped it to be profitable. Being that I worked at The Francis for quite some time. But to not even check on me once? I go to a lot of Mexican restaurants all over the US. Tex-Mex is my favorite. Many times they will all start to melt together but this place stood out. I highly recommend their guacamole Mexicano. It is chunky and has diced onions and tomatoes and cilantro and lime and jalapenos. On top they serve it with grilled green onions that are out of this world. And roasted whole jalapenos, so good! My bf had carne asada. It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. He had them add grilled shrimp and they, too, were seasoned and cooked perfectly. I had queso fundido on a sizzling plate.
