China Restaurant — Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

Decided to try this place, read a couple good reviews on them and figured id give them a shot. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED!! I placed my order for delivery at 1:30pm. The lady I placed my order with said it would probably take about 45 mins or so, ok thats fine. When i got my order at 2:15 and started pulling everything out of the bag, our whole order was WRONG! I had order two sweet and sour chicken combos, and got two general tso's combos. When i called and complained the lady said she misunderstood me and would send two small containers of sweet and sour chicken back to me,I asked if she would send two more eggrolls, and she proceeded to tell me she wouldnt send them unless i paid for them. AN HOUR LATER we finally got our order. I will not refer anyone to this place and i will tell everyone i know what a bad experience i had there and make sure they dont go. I was introduced to this place when I first moved here somewhere around two thousand... It was an instant hit arguably, the best Chinese food I've ever eaten anywhere. It's pretty nondescript and not much to look at. However, the food is fantastic in the pricing. Is reasonable. My singular complaint is they used to have a house ducks sauce, that they made there. You had to ask for it to get some. They no longer make it, and that hurts. Still, I seldom go anywhere else. And everyone that I turned on to it is thankful that I have. Also, it's a family-run establishment and I've watched their kids grow up over these last 20-some-odd years. In fact, the two young ladies who waited on me this last time might even be the proprietor's grandchildren at this point. China Restaurant has a name that is pretty much self explanatory. They make delicious Chinese food that can be eaten in, or taken out. There really isn't any atmosphere to the place, and the only reason to eat inside would be if you didn't have any place else you could eat. With that said, the food is really good! We tried the Hunan chicken, mixed vegetables and pork fried rice. We liked it so much that we came back a few days later for more of the Hunan chicken and pork fried rice.

The portions at China Restaurant are large, fresh and flavorful. It is rare that my family has leftovers from Chinese food, but we had a good size serving remaining after we were all stuffed. We have a few restaurants that we absolutely must eat at on every visit to NSB, and this has become...
