Surf Lounge — Restaurant in New Smyrna Beach

Went bowling next door for Sunday's Indy 500 Memorial Day weekend. The bowling alley announced that they were towing multiple cars in front of their bar. Keep in mind, the bowling alley is completely full, and Merk's is packed, not a lot of parking where the bowling alley is. Come to find out, they were towing multiple cars that were owned by Veterans, just wanting to have a good time bowling with their family.

Here is the kicker. There were only 7 total people total in their bar, including staff. Maybe if they understood that when a parking by lot is packed, it may bring more people into their bar, but they may not understand business and marketing too well.

What a gem! I'm new to the area, but my friend is a local who can often be found at Surf Lounge partaking in interactive gaming, pool tournaments, or simply enjoying a drink after a hard day's work. I've had only a few samples of the food there so I really can't speak on that just yet, however, the few "bites" were great. The staff is friendly, efficient service, and happy to answer my "not from NSB" questions. The patrons are also a friendly bunch. I think Surf Lounge will be a favorite watering hole ...and I recommend all you tourists vacationing in New Smyrna Beach to stop in to Surf Lounge, relax, have a drink, and a bite to eat ... It's my kinda "retro" for...

this is one of the few great little bars in NSB. we have been going there for over 20yrs. Forget the beachside,,,Tavern is OK,,Peanuts is not the same,,tired of foreigners coming into our country and changing what we originally like about NSB. Now its about big money and Orlandos new playground. sadly, the surf has changed, with rude people walking in the back door and going behind the bar to get to the pool tables, drug deals left and right. I'm not against color,,,but when the "Thugs" come creeping in and bringing in the bad element.....sorry,,,,the owners need to rope off that section and crack down on the thugism...
